Cracking set of kitchen videos and the finished rooms look fantastic.Great job. Whatever the content, I love watching your process. Thanks for all your time and effort putting these videos together for us to watch and keep them coming in 2023. All the best Lewis👍
Haha Del, you speak like a pro..I have learned when you have the house to yourself with trades in, get the hard bits done first, and as much as you can.no time to chill and listen to your music haha.. love it. Oh, for the DIY watching your vids.. be good to show them how you came about measuring the brackets for the drawer fronts. We know, but they just see tape , you mark it..drill..fix. 😀😜 and take it bloody easy Del
Hi David🖐great comment bud, and yes I do need to try and remember to include details that I might think are simple or obvious for those who are not in the trade👍Thanks for watching 😎 Cheers Del
The old christmas rush, we get this most years mainly because we build holiday homes and everybody wants their holiday home for the christmas/new year period. We always manage to complete on time though and that cheque just before Xmas is icing on the cake.
Nice job Del. I don't do a lot of kitchen work now, my knees won't let me scrabble around under units, but it's amazing how many little tricks you pick up when you do a lot of kitchen work. One thing I always did was to sit the dishwasher on a plywood base. They always need jacking up 40 or 50 mm so a couple of bits of 2x1 and a nice piece of 18mm WBP would be about right. Set it flush with the back of the plinth and then you have no worries about flooring having to run under the dishwasher and/or the edge of the flooring making it hard to get the dishwasher in or out. Dont screw into the floor though, just use glue for the battens. I don't know about you Del but I would also save every last bit of edged panel or trim until the job is finished, never know when it might get you out of trouble.
Seems like we are on the same page with all of this Nick👍and suspect you're a logical thinker like me😉 I always stash any decent sized plinth/panels/cornice etc either on top of the units or in the plinth void in case the customer ever need them👍Super comment and thanks for watching 😎 Cheers Del
Another great job,DEL,,as I'm more of a carpenter, I've not fitted many kitchens,,but was always taught to lay your cordless tool's flat on the worktop ,in case it topples over, or knocked over and damage the worktop ,and wooden flooring,,always a good habit ti get in to ,,🏴🏴
Hi Christopher🖐Yeah, I'm generally pretty disciplined at laying my drills over, but every now and again, it's easy to forget😖Thanks for your comment 😎 Cheers Del
Hi Del. Never left a message before but have been watching your channel for a while (and binged watched videos from to the start!!). Really enjoy watching the time lapse kitchen fits as there’s something very therapeutic about them. Your channel caught my eye when I had to do a double take - a chippy mate of mine is your double! Even down to the Makita impact, leather tool belt and tobacco tins - it’s uncanny. Anyway just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to produce these videos as they certainly keep us entertained through this bonkers world we live in. Hope you down tools for a good family Christmas and look forward to your videos in 2023.

Lovely job Del like you say those stages of the job when you can put yourself in autopilot are great and seem to be where it all comes together, like you I enjoy doing kitchens each one has its own unique challenges. Hope you and your family have a great Christmas 🎄⛄
Great job especially with the clock ticking! Guess the paint was touch dry when the removal crew arrived? Thanks for all the great videos in 2022 I’m sure even more great ones to come in 23. All the best for the festive season 👍

Hi Del, How have you finished the transition between the laminate flooring and breakfast bar decor end and back panel? You stuck the panels to the floor batten so assuming it butts up and mastic joint. Starting one similar tomorrow pondering leaving panels loose to scribe after the floor goes in.
Hi Robert🖐I was lucky on this one as the flooring was Karndean😎But on jobs with laminate etc, I would leave the panel up the floor thickness but still fix/stick the bottome of the back panel to an upright 2x1 fixed/stuck to the floor👍Cheers and all the best with your job🫡
