Avondale Update: Street Improvement in Old Town Avondale

The City of Avondale completed the first of three street improvement construction phases in Old Town Avondale. The project adds ADA-compliant sidewalks, new water lines, update street lights, traffic calming infrastructure and other updates to the city's historic core.
The City also received federal grant funding for beautification of Avondale's Western Avenue. The project will include adding string lights and updating light poles.
Construction on traffic signals on 119th Ave and McDowell will begin on September 27th. The project should be completed by the end of December.
