@@robertmaniac at the current prime day discount I think it’s worthwhile but at retail I’d probably just go with the classic dot with clock or jump all the way to the show 8, I’m not actually a fan of the 5
I really like the echo spot for the bedroom more so than getting the show for the bedroom because i feel like its more like having a table or something and the screen would be distracting when trying to go to sleep but the spot being able to have the night mode is great and can still see the clock if I need to add being able to play music or get the Alexa to give me the weather or news and set an alarm clock i don't really care about having a camera on the spot because i don't feel like that is what the purpose is to having it i had an older version Alexa dot not the one with the clock and wanted to upgrade so the spot was perfect for what I was wanting in my bedroom the show would be good in the living room or somewhere other than the bedroom since its more like a tablet or something that has things popping up all the time like a small TV or tablet

Now that it’s back up to $79 I don’t think it’s worth it, instead I’d get the dot with clock, I actually like the old puck style more too For music I’d get Sonos For screen I would jump all the way to the show 8 or if it’s just for smart home control, then the echo hub with a stand since it doesn’t have ads
Unfortunately it's hard to differentiate the sounds of each of the speakers if we can't hear the speakers.
If your echo device doesn't show the time, just ask Alexa for the time.

Yeah it’s nice for a bedroom, it was a good value during prime days. Now I’d either just get the dot with clock or wait for it to go on sale again
still got my old spot. that one is/was nicely built. Bought the new one though for another room.

A nice quick view but surely some copyright-free music could have been tested - decibels provide not sense of tone etc.
