She should go after part of the budget currently wasted. Get rid of DEI and ridiculous 're-education' programmes - that's just for starters.
Beautiful woman, and totally understand her interest in this. It's actually noble, two years later. However she has to say what the money is going to be taken away from. There are only trade-offs. She should identify the areas of waste - not too bloody hard with NHS. Start with DEI or sex changes!
The NHS invests in cancer research, but only 1% of that fund goes to this, she wants more of that fund.

1%, given the scope of the nhs, is actually pretty high... There are tens of thousands of unique conditions to consider.
The only way they will allocate more money here if they stop wasting money on self-inflicted conditions.

I would think 1% of the research budget for cancer, not the total NHS budget.
