Such a beautiful result with something so simple. I would never have thought to use two pieces abutting each other top and bottom. You are so creative. Thanks so much for sharing.😊
Thanks Daniela for sharing your ideas and fun energy when it comes to Slow Stitching ! You make it look doable :) I enjoy watching your youtube videos ! Looking forward to them ! Have a great weekend !
I thought the lace collage on the bold colors are so pretty. Can you tell me how you would use them? I love your videos and am glad I discovered your channel and subscribed.❤️🧵🪡🧶
Thanks. I use them as fabric pages for a book, or as background pieces and add additional slow stitching to them. I also like to make lots of them in various colors and keep them for future projects.
Your lace is beautiful!!!! and I don't like lace!!! LOL! My mom was a seamstress and everything she made me had lace....I guess she had to use up her stock in her store!! But I do like this idea of sewing it together. I kept a few pieces of lace mom had in her store and a piece from my wedding dress (48 years!!) My only dilemma is finding a backing. I have loads of fabric from the store....yes, they are probably listed as vintage but almost all are printed and lighter fabric. Our only fabric store closed after being in business for some 80 years. Ordering on line is not feasible since shipping is more than the price of fabric. Do you have any other suggestions as a backing? Thanks to your wonderful videos, I have done several slow stitch pieces and oops! fell in love with it. I used to embroider a lot when I was 10-11 but that was many moons ago!
How sweet that you saved the lace! Do you have some other treasured fabric that you can attach the lace, like baby clothes, or a precious tablecloth, or wool? I'm sure the embroidery will all come back to you. ❤️
@@DanielaMellen Sadly I don't have any baby clothes as they were all hand me downs to start off with. However, yes I have loads of yarn left (mom loved to knit and crochet) which I have been slowly making a dent in her supply. I also have many of her crocheted doilies to add on and yes, there is the tablecloth that was used in every occasion First Communion, engagement, Easter, Christmas and of course, the cigarette burns that were made by dear old dad after the cigarette rolled off the ashtray. Great ideas!! thanks
Very beautiful project. Thank you for sharing

Thanks. I like this idea too!
A really fun idea Daniela - the background fabric really makes it pop. Thought you might enjoy some of the videos I share also. Cheers, Christine
