An honest reflection. Congrats to all the Nominees. Kirby will get there in the end.... I suspect his leaning towards Davidoff (Dom Rep) went against him.
Thank you. I hope I can continue to post videos. I have to put more time and energy into my project. There are many people posting good quality content online and the level of knowledge is definitely rising. We must be happy about that. Regarding nomination or prizes, Habanos will decide.
I have no doubt that Kirby (at some point) will win this award but he is pretty new to the CC world regarding his impact / influence and also has the backing of H&F and some key contacts in the UK. His social media content over the last year has been great but he needs time to impress the powers that be in Cuba re these awards. Great video as always.
Kirby is a shoe shiner, he and cigars are from two different worlds. If it was not for him tailing the Sahakian's he would not even be mentioned. His trying to fit but true cuban cigar aficionados are like operating doctors you either are or you are not.
Indeed, offering an apology is always commendable. While Kirby Allison undoubtedly wields influence, particularly in the realms of men's grooming and lifestyle, his recent endeavor of constructing a walking humidor in his new residence doesn't automatically elevate him to the status of a cigar influencer, at least not from my perspective. It's worth noting that effective communication extends beyond mere social media presence. Nonetheless, I concede one aspect of your observation: the quality of his videos surpasses that of many other influencers.
He probably got none. Who would vote for Kirby. Habanos is a world wide pride and they know their business best and who is a true fit. Don't let Cuba's economic situatIon fool you for their knowledge for Cigars and the people at the helm.@@habanonews
Here is what my position is regarding Mr Allison. Like many people interested in the Cuban cigar industry I noticed his entrance into the community through the "London" door. One must recognise his talent for making videos and the quality of his work. As I mentioned before, he has never pretended to be a specilist, you have to give him credit for that. He is learning and he is showing his first steps inside the community. By the time he reaches my age, I am sure he'll know as much or even more than me because he is learning from the best and has access to the best information. I am impressed by the quality of his work and I'd love to have his talent in front of a camera for sure. I cannot say anything bad about him and I hope I can interview him soon.
He just built a home with a walk in humidor and a gigantic filtration system so he can smoke inside. He has repeatedly interviewed the Sarhakians and people such as Jenna Freeman and others. He is a genuine enthusiast.
Mr Allison is a true cigar enthusiast. As he mentioned in some videos he came into the cigar scene a few years ago but he is catching up quickly. We all have to learn one day. His journey is starting.
I agree with your comment that we all have come to learn at some point but Kirby's play is fake and don't not pass the smell test. Additionally his cigar knowledge is so far off that his discoveries are none and his noise is loud. That does not give you the award. It is always important to be true to the scene you serve.@@habanonews
Dear Laurent. I like your content. But kriby has no idea about cigars. He is just acting like a clown. He has just money. But fortunately the judges know that. You cant just spend anlot of money and do films and think you know about cigars. There are a lot of people who have spent theirs whole life in the cigar industries. For me he is fake
Your analysis is the first reaction that many people had in the community I must admit but in the past few events I saw Kirby, I had a completely different view of his personality. First he is not a rich guy getting into cigar. He is a hard working lifestyle influencer that manages to make money out of his craft. A very difficult craft I must say. He needs to make video to pay his bills and it is a hard job. I noticed that he is very humble in his approach in the cigar community. He does want to learn and he is learning from the best. I don’t think he want to become a cigar specialist as such I believe that in his line of work, cigar is a subject to understand and a big part of an elegant man’s journey. He has managed through hard work to achieve a goal of living a dandy’s life and it is certainly not easy when you live in Texas. I am very glad he joined the community as he’s making me realize that there is a lot of work ahead to achieve the quality and dedication of his work. Of course I am an amateur and he is a professional but it’s great to see him work and learn from him. He is very approachable and kind.
Congratulations to Mrs Lorenzo and her team!
7 years after the 1st nomination !

It was still a good prediction Laurent and I agree that Kirby could well win in future - as could you perhaps!?

Nevermind Laurent, keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Kirby has no idea about cigars!
Kinda agreein with you
He is starting his journey and he is learning fast. He has never pretented to be a specialist you have to give him this.
@@habanonewsyou’re right 🙌🏻

@@habanonewsAgreed. Kirby has dug deeply into the subject, and like a good cigar, he will age well.

Would you know how many votes each nominee got?
We don't have access to the votes nor who's voting.

Is Allison even a real cigar guy? My impression is that he is more of an aftershave and accessories type, the kind that populate gents' magazines.

@@Mltemple8333 Yes, I've seen his cigar and Cuba videos and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but something tells me he doesn't smell of cigars.
