There's nobody in the whole universe who'd fill Adam's shoes as amazingly as Matt does. Seriously guys, just stop whining already. "Boo hoo we want Adam back!" Well he's NOT coming back. He didn't like the music anymore and decided to go solo, which, along with the fact he left them in the middle of a tour, is in my opinion very selfish towards the fans. Matt has been working his ass out to please you and all you give him is hate and stupid whining. Grow up! Adam was incredibly talented but he has decided to leave the band without giving a crap about what's gonna happen to it, yet you defend him? I loved his voice too, I loved his singing combined with the TDG style of music more than anything in the world, but unlike most of you, I decided to give credit where it really belongs - to Matt, Barry, Brad and Neil. The singer doesn't make the band. You guys tend to forget that there are more members than one.
Even without Adam, I can still hear the TDG style very clearly in this song and I love it so damn much. Even though the lyrics sometimes seem a bit strange to me, for example I always though it's "feed on", not "fiend on".
TDG rock, with or without Adam. Deal with it.

it's his life he didnt owe anything to anybody. he left because he didnt like how the band treated him and the fact that did everything for the money. sure he disappointed the fans but he had balls big enough to stand up for himself and leave.
I understand that perfectly. He felt like he didn't put his heart into it, and I appreciate he had the balls to say something, but leaving mid-tour has raised some problems and confusion. He might've waited till the end of the tour. I'm not sure about the health problems, though. I read he left just because he didn't feel the music anymore.
TDG said on an interview that there weren't any health problems, that it was just Adam who wanted to go because he didn't feel the music anymore. I'm not him and can't tell what he felt like, but I'd rather believe an interview that is posted on the internet than pissed off fans who try to defend him so desperately. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not angry at him because he left, it just doesn't seem right to me that he left mid-tour and left the band to deal with it.
And as far as I'm concerned, most people here aren't Matt Walst, yet they bitch at him and slam him on youtube on every single opportunity. It's hypocritical to defend them but diss me.

I like Three Days Grace just fine with Adam or Matt. I also love Linkin Park. To me there is nothing wrong with this band right now. Sounds fine to me. Sounded fine with Adam.

I am too but Adam decided he had other projects he'd like to pursue and 3DG thinking about us the fans decided to bring in a vocalist who was well known to them to keep the band going. You can think of this as the end of the world or you can accept that this is a new Era 3DG is trying to move into
Breaking Benjamin looses all but 1 of it's members, got them replaced. Three days grace looses 1 member, everybody freaks out calling this band dead and not the same anymore.
It isn't the same for sure, but it's definitely not dead either - Matt is a fantastic vocalist in his own right.

Everyone keeps whining about Adam being gone. I really think it's a bummer but I have always loved Matt's music before he left my darkest days. The fact that he is the new lead vocalist of TDG is amazing! Love the sound.

Honestly I think Matt Walst is the best thing that could have happened to 3DG. Let's be real, their 3rd album with Adam was good, not great, and it was all downhill from there. They tried to change their sound to be refreshing but still clung to the same lyrical melody. This single with Matt is awesome and it's very refreshing to hear the same classic music with a different lyrical tone. I love it.

Adam also doesn't have the right voice for the sound of Transit Of Venus, and that's why I hated that album. His voice is best suited for hard rock, not prog.

If you listen to their album when they were known as Motherwell, they play more of a Seattle style Grundge-brand of music. That is the type of music I like Adam best on. But you're right, he's definitely better in the hard rock genre
But i when heard they got a new singer i looked him up and really good. Huge 3DG fan but transit of Venus was a big disappointment.
TDG didn't change their lead singer for better sound, Adam had health problems and left.
Their new singer isn't half bad! I wasn't too fond of their last album but this album sounds promising so far; it kind of reminds me of TDG's older music.

It definitely sounds a lot like their older music, which I prefer. It's amazing how much of the old sound they still have without the old lead singer. Their older stuff is definitely the best, IMO.

I've been a huge fan of three days grace for as long as I can remember; I even have the band logo tattooed on me. I love Adam and I love the rest of the band. Adam is amazing with and without the rest of 3dg and 3dg is amazing with and without Adam. This song is on my number one favorites list. I could listen to it on repeat for hours.

I felt PAIN when I first heard Matt Walsh singing for Three Days Grace and I thought, I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU, Matt. I wondered how I would GET OUT ALIVE with my band sounding like this. It was the big BREAK of Three Days Grace. I learned recently that it's NEVER TOO LATE For my favorite band. Because now they have an awesome new song:Painkiller

....Well, the is, I think the reason Matt sounded terrible before is because his voice didn't match up with the normal style of three days grace. Now that they're making songs to fit his voice, he sounds fine.

I don't understand why people hate Matt so much. I miss Adam too but accept that he's no longer here and move on. At first I didn't want to listen to this album but I like it after listening to it. I don't like all of the songs but a lot of them. If you can't accept that Matt is here and Adam is not, then you can listen to Saint Asonia, which I also listen to despite still liking current time Three Days Grace.

they sound very different and that is GOOD!! Matt vocals is great and now the new Three Days Grace sound like a fusion of the old Three Days Grace and My Darkest Days. i'm very impressed and happy with this new sound.

Probably the best thing Matt can do. He upgraded from My Darkest Days, who weren't as popular, and gaining it back here. I see him pulling what Corey Taylor does with Slipknot and Stone Sour. Regardless, sounds amazing. Keep rocking bro's

I kind of grew up listening to Adam "live" because he's my cousin, and he'd listening to me when I'd come back from my dad's, crying because my dad questioned me about my mom and threatened me when I couldn't answer his questions. He actually wrote three variations of the songs Never Too Late, Animal I Have Become, and Pain to show how I felt when I was with my dad. I was SO upset when he told me he was leaving 3dg. But what made it worse was the fact that it was brain issues. I lost it. We still talk, but less than we used to because he spends a lot of time in the hospital. We met for the first time in person on Easter, and I spent all of my time with him. I listen to his music at school every day, and I am the only kid allowed to because his variations that he wrote are the only thing keeping me from the thought of terrible things.
Nobody will ever be the same as Adam. But matt i think will give the band new life

I was never really a fan of Three Days Grace, seen them live at a few festivals and still couldn't get into them until I heard this song on octane and it's been stuck in my head since. I love Matt singing, he's made me a fan.
Stop whining about Adam being gone. Matt honestly needs more appreciation for his voice. He's pretty damn good. Adam was pretty damn good. They're both amazing. End of story.

there are a few possible reasons for that. 1: this is their first album with Adam and they are having to do different things due to Matt's voice and let's admit it, three days graces' first album with adam wasn't their best, IHEAY is the only really good song on that album. 2: Maybe that's the point of this song. it's coming from the view of the thing that we adicted to.

There may be a part of me crying, because I grew up with Three Days Grace and Adam. However, their new singer is good and I can appreciate a different sound.

A message to the haters:
I get it, Three Days Grace sounds a lot different without Adam fronting them. We need to get over it though. Adam isn't coming back, he's said it himself several times. Some of the most legendary rock bands have gone through singer changes and we still love them to this day. If you're really a Three Days Grace fan, you'll notice that the amazing guitar riffs are still here, the awesome drum beats are still here and the wicked bass lines still here. A band isn't just its singer, that's why Three Days Grace is a band, and not just 'Adam and those guys who play instruments in the background.' Three Days Grace is still here, we just had a lineup change. This song is incredible and I hope that the haters can still see that, even if Matt is singing instead of Adam.

I have a very specific memory of the day I found this song I was searching three days grace songs through RUclips via my TV. And for some reason I got so hooked on this song that I played on repeat out loud at least 10 times while lying down on the sofa and just chilling. Then my mom comes to the living room and says "enough with that music! Put something else!!!". And now she is gone :(
