It is distressing to see the lead actresses being forced to use cigarettes as a prop in some scenes when it's obvious they are ¹)not actual smokers and ²)not comfortable or relaxed pretending to be smokers.. Why are modern-day screen writers, directors & producers insisting on their actors to deliberately wreck their health for the sake of using a prop that has no relatable benefit to improve the scene or dialogue the prop is used in.. If a scene requires the actor to be a smoker, the actor should be an actual smoker.. Otherwise, honour the actor being a non-smoker & protect their physical health & wellbeing by removing the smoking aspect from the script/scene.. A non-smoker cannot fake being a smoker no matter how good their talent is and demanding the non-smoker actor to become an actual smoker for the sake of making the scene look authentic when the cigarette has no bearing or logical reason to be in the scene is disturbing ☠️☹️💀
