I wish I got this reaction from my mom. On any of my kids. All she said was I shouldn’t be and later told me I was to dumb to have kids. I was happy and she ruined it. I cut ties with her in 96 didn’t see her again till 2018 at my sisters funeral nothing after. Don’t ever let someone ruin your joy on this and no matter how much you try it doesn’t get better trust me
I' m sorry for you to experience this. Pregnancy and having kids are beautiful experiences, life changing, challenging but nothing to miss. Who ever have kids should appreciate others to be on this step (especially your own parents). I'm sure you did better in raising childs than your Mom. Best wishes to you
Let me tell you something .. she is your mother after all .. mothers sometimes they fear for their children too much that they become too offensive in their reactions and words .. they raised us with love they spend nights and nights awake when we were babies and then when we were ill and even when we have exams I remember my mother used to check on me.. but when I grow up she does not have that much affection towards me and even when I married she was happy on my first child only then she didn’t have that support on my other children she had this insightful towards things and she was right .. sometimes I couldn’t handle raising them Maybe your mom worried about you or maybe she see other things that you dont see Try to return your relationship with her after all those years she needs you now for sure and she needs her grand children specially after you sister died💔 All what I want to say is there is nothing like a mother’s heart be patient with them . Then when my children married
My sister did that she got everybody their respective new family titles….. at Christmas time…. I got uncle, my mom got grandma, and my other brother got uncle….. My mom got grandma…… For five minutes, she ran around, trying to give her shirt to my granny saying that there was some kind of mistake…. My granny pulled out her shirt and showed my mom - “Great grandma”….. And she still didn’t get it… We were all chuckling and laughing… My granny told my mom, “ Good Lord woman, you’re as dense as a box of rocks …….Your daughter is pregnant for gods sakes.
Why is everyone bewildered when being told someone is pregnant? I means, it's something natural, if you're engaged. It is obvious being happy, even moved, but where's the surprise?
I often wonder why those closest to them often don’t believe them and accuse them of lying. Personally I think a paternity test should be performed at birth for every child!
