Stinging Nettle can be found DUE North or the revelwood tower, bottom of the hill and stay out of shroud to the east. You will be lucky if you find 4 in 1 run, just logout and go again then make seeds, the nettle is very hard to find.
For the soul you can place it with the summoning staff just like the other NPCs. When in the attunement menu use Q and E to switch between types and left and right buttons on the controller.
As you have already heard, the summoning staff does summon lost soles. Right clicking will summon the hunter etc.. pressing Q & E will change menus. Now about Fenrig, I found Fenrigs armour ( cosmetic ) near his place, it was in the field near where the berries spawn. I am not sure if finding his armour set was part of a quest or not. I think the field is a corn field that you find all his armour pieces in as it’s red and glowey, and laying on the ground.
You can manually place vines onto some wall types by using the single block terrain to put down dirt, doesn't work on every spot on a wall panel and deletion can give odd results but that's how. The fossils are worth marking the map for if you're trying to find the quest ones as being out of an area long enough will cause a new one to pop up which won't count towards progress

And now with the animals and other things I am revisiting areas(though my best copper mining spot no longer has a deposit). Also I checked and my fave way of breaking down structures quickly for blocks still works.
If you can't pick up the book just break the shelf, usually works. I don't get the arachnophobia thing, it's not like they're creepy, slimy lawyers. I could understand a lawyer warning, heck even Shakespeare hated those critters.
I don't think the water well bug was a bug, but rather an intention to remove the exploit of picking up a well and putting it down to refill it. However they apparently also added the function to wells in the world so if you stayed near one for some time you could get water from it. Apparently it was fixed in a patch today, but I have not tested it yet..
First! @Spanj! I love Enshrouded day! I just finished reading the update post they just did about 20 minutes ago! Sooooooo many bug fixes. I can’t wait until I wake up to play the game again. I’ve put in over 100 hours since the update lol. Edit: this update they just posted 20 minutes ago fixed the water wells!
You've already probably figured this out, but the cat will not spawn if it's in your flame-shrine area. You'll need to move it outside of the tower to get the cat.
The well issue is super weird, I started a new play through last week and have no issues at all... I have had the book issue though, sometimes it's missing the prompt so if I EEEEE it it will get them anyways
In multiplayer before the update the Leather refuses to unlock and after the update that problem still remains. Started a new SP just to find out if it is the same there.
I don't think the wells or books are broken, I believe they've just been nerfed a bit. You now can't sleep in all beds, can't pick up all books, and not all wells work. In all these situations there are still items that work fine. I think the wells were nerfed for good reason, as it gives motivation to move on to better drinks in the progression of the game. Get goats.
Old books are used to make book stacks, a decorative item. This doesn't necessarily answer what Spanj is doing with them, though, which is what you asked specifically. Perhaps he is silently role-playing them to being toilet paper.

27:25 destroy the bookshelf and you can pickup the books from the floor by rapidly hitting the interaction button.
The fireplace is north in Pikes. The well issue was a bug and they have now fixed that.
