I had a rather busy week with my family. Wasn't able to get as far as i'd like, but either way... We are moving forward. In between videos, follow me on facebook so you dont miss out on anything else: facebook.com/UaruJoey
Joey I think I speak for alot of us when I say you are amazing and it was a honnor to help you and you crusade it bring this beautiful hobby to more people and you inspired me along time a go I now have 5 150 gallon tanks and my lil girl and wife are in love with the hobby we are now building a 700 gallon plywood and acrylic for the stingrays we have coming in a month in a half thank you Joey for all the help
Please don't feel the need to keep thanking us for the donations we all made. None of us would want you to start resenting you asked for help. Please just enjoy the experience and take us all along for the ride. Love your videos, makes me wish I could keep fish again.
Please bring the red arrowana out to the gallery! Thank you for being so dedicated to the hobby. It's wonderful to hear your passion for this project. I look forward to every video update! Keep up the great work !
Yay lol I was one of the people who said that he should put the arowana in the planted tank. I really like how this guy actually listens to his viewers!! Keep up the great work!!!!!
You are the coolest joey! There will always be people you can't please, but you always handle the complainers with such class. Also, you have always been SO humble about the difference you make in our lives and with this whole go fund me thing- and that is truly admirable. Thanks again for everything you do for this hobby!
Just want you to know that you have done an amazing job setting up this gallery. From several perspectives. Sharing this with people will inspire countless people to get into the hobby. I think so many people relate to you because of your honesty and true passion to help people. Don't ever let any of the negative comments get you down. They just haven't watched all of your videos. If they had it would be impossible not to see how much of an impact you have had!
Keep doing what you do Joey. You have a lot of supporters that appreciate your dedication, commitment and the seeing joy you get from the hobby and the process, regardless of the shortcuts you may have to take to get it done. The realists and the people who understand the challenges you face still support you.
Everything is looking wonderful! I think that you have taken "do it yourself" to an amazing new level. And I think it is wonderful how you've built up relationships with these really awesome small businesses where people are so passionate about the hobby. It's so cool to feel that we are part of building up a community where we can all be crafters. So I think that buying the tanks and stands the way you have is great.
I donated to your go fund me page. I just want to say that i have no problem at all with how your using it. The videos you made and continue to make have been major in my hobby. definitely still the king of DIY!!
+Jared Thanks Jared. To be honest, 100% of the people upset did not actually donate that I have looked up. So it's kinda weird to hear it for them only.
what a daunting but amazing project, and truly inspiring for what can be accomplished in the hobby. also those custom aquariums videos were amazing, the process was so detailed and cool to watch. plus the "indestructible" sump containers are so bad ass, I really want a set for my pending build.
Joey, what if you built a wood frame for the greenhouse panels and connected it to cables attached to an electric wench? This way you can lift the entire lid at once with the push of a button.
Joey, Thank you for taking Fishkeeping to the next level! No apologies necessary. I look forward to following this channel down the road. I wish you the very best and am grateful for all you have done for the Aquarium hobby.
Joey, there is always going to be haters no matter what you do and how you do it. This is by far the coolest thing for us hobbyists on RUclips and I for one am grateful that you are doing this. 99% of us don't even do a third of diy on our hobby, why the hell should be expect you. Plus, all the reasons you gave as well! Keep it up sir, I'll look forward to your videos every week!
Technically, this whole gallery is DIY. It's your idea and it's unique and you're doing the work to get it done. So what if you have to purchase a few things? You're not growing the trees for the wood stands either. Keep up the good work!
Tom D exactly!! I was so blown away when he said people were hating on him for not making everything from scratch. Like, I'm sorry but is your gallery better than joeys???? Geez people will always find a way to be negative.
Joey I really enjoy your videos! I found your channel a few weeks ago, and yesterday I got my first five fish for my hand-me-down 30 gallon aquarium! They may just be five zebra danios, but your channel has shown me where these few fish can lead and I'm so excited to be getting started in this hobby. Thank you :)
Keep up the good work Joey. May God bless your work. You are one person who has always inspired me to keep big tanks with big fish.I have finally bought my first Motoro Stingray in a 100 gallon tank after researching on it for almost 2 years. Once again continue your good work.
I was inspired by all ur DIY projects which helped me build a customised aquarium that fit the space I have. I also built a hybrid of under gravel circulation and hang on to back filter system for the same. Even the lights on the aquarium was made looking at ur video, were I used a multicoloured LED strip that changes colours controlled by a remote control. Of all the tips you gave us the best was to have no gravel or substrate for the aquarium, I testify it really helped my fish, they are lot healthier and NO FISH DIED after I removed the gravel. Also aquarium cleaning is lot easier, which gets cleaned up instantly by the under gravel circulation system leaving no fish waste and didn't have to worry much about water contamination. Please keep doing this good work that you have been doing because it will inspire a lot of people like me.
im really excited to see the gallery finished I didn't start fishkeeping because of you but once I started watching your videos it just made the hobby alot more enjoyable.
I've never been so interested in the arowana until I showed my cousin your videos and he used to keep a bunch of flowerhorns... he told me he used to have an arowana and how red arowanas are endangered as well as how highly guarded the fish are for those that raise em in fish farms. The color is truly amazing!
Looking forward to the acrylic panel install. They are huge! I've never seen ones that big installed into a concrete tank so this will be a real education.
You are awesome Joey, this channel is amazing and has helped me restart the hobby in a responsible manner and now my daughter has her first fish and is getting in to the hobby.
I am convinced starting the gofundme was the only right decision. In the end, it does not only take a lot of stress from you, but also lead to an end result that is much nicer to watch for us!
Thanks for getting into the details on cost. I really appreciate all the time and effort you're putting into this. It goes to show what a bad ass work ethic you have 😊 You're a motivation to all of us. Thanks again Joey and keep it up!
"To educate and Inspire", i like that better as a trademark for the gallery. Great job, keep it up. I am glad you got sponsors and I hope you will be able to add more to the 'Education Project'. The hobby needs more knowledgeable people helping us develope the hobby. I am also very glad you are opening up the finance book for the expenses for the people who helped with the fundraiser.
I've never built an aquarium that's leaked and I'm not about to start. you're the absolute boss ! gotta hand it to you for doing it right and we appreciate that this takes time, I'm here all the way buddy seriously I enjoy all the steps and content up to the big finale, this is the most exciting project on my subscription list I appreciate you putting all this hard work in for us all to watch :)
Really like the idea of having the blood red in the planted tank. He's a beautiful fish and he will be on display with all the other beauties in the gallery.
Truthfully, I like watching these videos for the information you provide and getting to see the fish, Using a company to make a whole bunch of tanks (that you have done videos on before on how to make multiple times anyways) makes sense and will look great in the end! the 2000 gallon is really exciting *_*
Keep doing what your doing Joey me and my dad are longtime fish keepers and we love your channel been watching since your discus days, don't let the haters get you down and we look forward to the fish room development! No rush though take your time.
Joey, to secure the covers in place, you can silicone some type of railing to the top, plastic, aluminum, etc... and use these as guides to slide the cover in or out. This way, you prevent also the fish from jumping out as the railing would keep the covers securely in place.
I think seeing the Blood Red in the 375 planted tank would be very cool! As long as there's no real complications that you can foresee due to this unique combination, then I say go for it! It would be kind of exciting.
Greetings from Costa Rica Joey. I enjoy your videos and appreciate all the passion you are putting into your channel and the new gallery. I admire your determination and drive to complete the project. Stick to your dreams and disregard the naysayers. Explaining your use of the donated funds is fine, but you need not justify your decisions all the time. It's impossible to please all the people all the time. Please yourself: you know what you are doing. You inspired me two years ago to build my own 30 gallon tank down here which has brought much joy to my life. And you inspire me with your enthusiasm. Keep up the great work. I truly look forward to your videos Joey. Have another great week! Tim
Don't worry about people moaning about it not being DIY. You have already shown people how to do everything so they can always search your channel for information. Buy what you like, get sponsorship where you can and do what you have time for. We're watching this free but it's not free to build. Still watching :)
Roshaini Renganathan that is silly move, considering not all Red aro turn into red. some only orange. that is why black tank is ideal for grooming. i hope joey considers this thought.
That was a nice touch what you put above the door. Just remember don't hesitate to put back up the go fund me if you need a little more fonds. Are you going to have school kids comeing around to see the galary. Thank You Joey for everything.
hi. this is my first post for you, i just wanna tell you, you are the best ever! i built my 1000litre silver arrowana tank from your videos.i just wanna tell you thanks for the help!🙂 BIG RESPECT!
every time I think, my exams are coming, i can't keep watching these long videos... after my exams again...but here i am...full 25:25. it's a guilty pleasure at this point in time.
Thank you for keeping us all updated with all the steps. I am sorry that people made you feel that you have to "justify" the choices you made in YOUR gallery! I hope that if it comes to the point where you need to open the go-Fund me again that you feel comfortable doing so. Because we want to be sure you have enough for some great fishies! :)
Don't let the haters get to you, Joey. There are far more of us that understand. Everyone has an opinion and some just like to pick apart anything they can. Looking forward to something new and exciting and I know there will be more DIY in the future!
It will work. The tank is simply too big for it not to. Plus with the visual break the scape will create, adds to the chance of success. PLAN B is me swimming in the tank constantly with them and breaking up any fights.... ;)
Can't wait to see it finished!! Though I'm not a fan of the black tank with the white, I reckon it would look so much more aesthetically pleasing if you had painted it the same colour as your gallery walls, would of popped so nicely with the white! Any way ignore me thats just my opinion haha, great video as always 😊
Im glad you're moving the little arowana outside. My first thought when you said you're leaving him there was hoping it wouldn't get forgotten in the room. Then again, he is an arowana, how much attention does he really want?
Love these videos! I look forward to seeing everything completed and fish in all the tanks! Hopefully some of my fish make it in there (I work for one of One Fish's suppliers)!
Joey, the blood red would look great in the planted tank! Also, put Frank in your workroom or on your desk; he deserves to be closer to you as well as more stimulation. Looking forward to seeing the completed project!
I am seriously starting to think that this will be the best collection of aquariums in the world! Please consider making one of the 120s a South American paludarium with dart frogs and bromeliads in the land section!
Bro, I actually can't wait for this gallery to be finished. I have an exam in today's but updated on this shtuff is more important than my revision. I also think the Arowana and planted tank would be amazing. Especially because green makes red pop quite a lot.
I have been watching u for many years and just wanted to say I love you channel and your videos. Don't let the haters get you down. I still love your videos and the content that you make today, as much as I did when I first saw our videos many years ago. There is no shame in sponsors. Keep doing what your doing as long as you want to. LOL that was the other part of your channel I really like. You are as honest as you can be and I really appreciate that. You really deserve the good and support you have and then some. so your just great lol and I wanted you to know that. Also I would say you should take some time to relax since you look a bit stressed. Please take care of yourself. Also I got back into the hobby after watching you videos lol. Still nano tanks since I have been going back and forth from university, but now that I just graduated and hopefully getting a full time job i would like to get more tanks = ] . Again your great.
Joey please make sure the inside of the cemented tank is BLACK, fish stand out much better on a black background, plus they are less stressed in a dark environment. Black walls and light substrate would look awesome!
+Mir Beluchi this isn't true for all fish, especially the ones I'm stocking it with. I already went into detail on the color choice. I won't be changing it.
Some people always have to find a reason to complain or bring someone down. Your DIY channel has brought you to this point. Don't worry about all the nay-sayers out there who are just miserable in their own lives to be happy for someone else. Buy what you need to complete this awesome project for those of us who care and who are proud and happy for your success. Looking forward to it!!! ❤
your killing it keep it up still my fav channel. . . let people think what they want its your vision not ours were lucky for the simple fact your willing to share the experience with us should be enough for people
I love your content and I was inspired recently to upgrade my 10 gallon tropical tank to a 30 gallon planted tank =D Thank you for all the information!
I like the idea of the ultimate red going in the planted tank. Then you can leave the flowerhorn in the house in the plywood tank. That would solve 2 issues at once.
Joey I think I can speak for most of us when I say that we don't care if the gallery isn't diy for hose of us that constantly follow u this hlqhole thing is one big diy. Let the haters hate. On another note the 375 planted with the arowana would he beautiful to see. I've seen planted thanks with arowana before and they are stunning.
We love you Joey!!!! You are the inspiration behind my own fish room build and the inspiration behind my first 180G tank purchase yesterday. The tank i've always dreamed of having! Thank you :-)
Great ideas for the red arowana in a planted tank. Great idea for the drain that's easily acessible, plumb in a trap or sump in between the drain pipe where it transitions lower.
Here's an idea Joey; drill small holes in the greenhouse panels and string them together, then you can just fold one or two back for feeding and it makes it easier to remove them all in one go.
I had a rather busy week with my family. Wasn't able to get as far as i'd like, but either way... We are moving forward. In between videos, follow me on facebook so you dont miss out on anything else: facebook.com/UaruJoey

I now have 5 150 gallon tanks and my lil girl and wife are in love with the hobby we are now building a 700 gallon plywood and acrylic for the stingrays we have coming in a month in a half
thank you Joey for all the help
I'm fairly convinced that once you fill the 2,000 gallon tank for the first time you must take a ceremonial first plunge into the water.
Please don't feel the need to keep thanking us for the donations we all made. None of us would want you to start resenting you asked for help. Please just enjoy the experience and take us all along for the ride. Love your videos, makes me wish I could keep fish again.
Custom Aquariums is stepping up everywhere!

Jackson Henderson dfinitely
It's pretty sweet to have a whole fish building! The office/fish gallery looks great

Cost benefit analysis and rationale explanation of your methodology is so great!

Joey, I am so glad I found your channel! I only have a little 46 gallon aquarium, but your channel inspires me to aquascape it and stock it.
Hope you're enjoying the nice weather in NS, great vid keep it up

im really excited to see the gallery finished I didn't start fishkeeping because of you but once I started watching your videos it just made the hobby alot more enjoyable.
thanks for the information about fish keeping u r the reason that drives me through this hobby
I've never been so interested in the arowana until I showed my cousin your videos and he used to keep a bunch of flowerhorns... he told me he used to have an arowana and how red arowanas are endangered as well as how highly guarded the fish are for those that raise em in fish farms. The color is truly amazing!
I'm always amazed at how much you are able to accomplish each week. Are you sure you don't have an army of minions hidden somewhere? lol
I wish!
The king of DIY okay Gru, if you say so..
Looking forward to the acrylic panel install. They are huge! I've never seen ones that big installed into a concrete tank so this will be a real education.
The flowerhorn is more red now. Good job grooming 👍
NiX aKi I noticed that too. He looks so beautiful! Joey made a good choice getting him!
You are awesome Joey, this channel is amazing and has helped me restart the hobby in a responsible manner and now my daughter has her first fish and is getting in to the hobby.
I love how the tank is looking with the epoxy Joey, the light and dark contrast makes it look really modern and sleek 👍
planted with arowana is very good idea go for it
I know he doesn't like decor but he could at least put some floating plants in his tanks.
Good to have sponsors to help speed up the gallery. Can't wait to see your next level of skills - AQUASCAPING.
oh man I'm excited to see it completed, I'd love to Visit your aquarium one day to personally admire the Beaty and hard work that was put into it
when i watch your video's i see a huge passion for the hobby and the proud you take in your work☺️ love it!
btw love the idea for the red arowana in a planted tank
Hey guys! Always watch the full advertisement in every vid! A simple way to help Joey!
No rush though take your time.
is raining but thats good cools down the earth GOOD LUCK ON FINISHING THE GALLERY

Of course, it's a DIY Channel !!!
You are great at what you do, so never listen to sceptics
Looking forward to the Gallery
Don't worry about people moaning about it not being DIY. You have already shown people how to do everything so they can always search your channel for information. Buy what you like, get sponsorship where you can and do what you have time for. We're watching this free but it's not free to build. Still watching :)

this is my first post for you, i just wanna tell you, you are the best ever!
i built my 1000litre silver arrowana tank from your videos.i just wanna tell you thanks for the help!🙂
BIG RESPECT!
Loving these updates, the whole building and everything in it is DIY. Glad I was able to contribute to this project, Fired Up!!!
every time I think, my exams are coming, i can't keep watching these long videos... after my exams again...but here i am...full 25:25. it's a guilty pleasure at this point in time.
I'm so excited about the rack system. Now you have me pumped about it!
I'm in awe of the aquarium.gallery ...your hard work is paying off ...I'm excited to see it all come together...thank you for sharing it all xo
Joey, you got viewers all over the world. So good morning can also mean good good night for some of us. Keep up beeing You, It's much appreciated.
keep up the great work Joey
you truly are an inspiration to us all and we appreciate your hard work and dedication.
I've been watching this channel a few years now and a I still love it
Don't let the haters get to you, Joey. There are far more of us that understand. Everyone has an opinion and some just like to pick apart anything they can. Looking forward to something new and exciting and I know there will be more DIY in the future!
Have you got a plan 'B' if the rays don't get along with the Asian Arrowana?
It will work. The tank is simply too big for it not to. Plus with the visual break the scape will create, adds to the chance of success. PLAN B is me swimming in the tank constantly with them and breaking up any fights.... ;)
The king of DIY hahaha good response, I would do the same.
The king of DIY put the arowana in timeout in a small tank inside the big tank haha.
Wait until the gallery is completed. I have said a few times now that the outside of the 2000 is temporary.
The king of DIY I reckon murals on the outside would look awesome Joey, if only I was in Canada I'd love to do it for you but alas I am Australian
Ahh Fair enough! I totally missed you saying that! but yeah awesome should paint it the same colour as the walls ;)
big grump be like 'oh hello human. I still don't like you. That is all'.
Im glad you're moving the little arowana outside. My first thought when you said you're leaving him there was hoping it wouldn't get forgotten in the room. Then again, he is an arowana, how much attention does he really want?
don't worry about not building the racking and 120 gallons; they will look awesome in the gallery and you deserve it!
Please consider making one of the 120s a South American paludarium with dart frogs and bromeliads in the land section!
planted asian arowana tank for the win
Joey keep on working hard the fish gallery is almost complete and is looking pretty cool
The king of DIY well at least it's not blue! haha. keep it up Joey your videos are great!
I'm so excited to see this build finished. ❤
Nice sneaky website plug :) Great job as always!
😁👍
I feel like a family here :)
ramith pp likewise bhai. :)
your killing it keep it up still my fav channel. . . let people think what they want its your vision not ours were lucky for the simple fact your willing to share the experience with us should be enough for people
Beyond exciting. Can't wait to see the racks up and running. I may be more excited about those than anything
I love your content and I was inspired recently to upgrade my 10 gallon tropical tank to a 30 gallon planted tank =D
Thank you for all the information!
I like the idea of the ultimate red going in the planted tank. Then you can leave the flowerhorn in the house in the plywood tank. That would solve 2 issues at once.
love the idea of the arowana and planted tank setup
Time is money. Do what you need to do to continue doing what you do best for us.
The flowerhorn wants to attack you, I know because I have one. Great video!!!
Keep it up Joey!Been watching you since you started.Love your Vids.Keep living the dream Buddy.
You should build a outdoor pond joey
Cichlids 5 he lives in canada
I can't believe we managed to get 83k that's awesome I'm so happy for you! And in 48 hours
