I remember being there about this time. I was 13 or so. I lost my parents and met a girl there. Our parents let us walk the strip all week sliding the slides. I was devastated when we had to say good bye and go home! She wrote her number down on a brochure and my dad accidentally threw it away. I thought about her for years! In fact I still think of her from time to time and get a little sad. Worst case of puppy love I ever had! I hope you have had as wonderful a life as I have Tiff.

Been going there since the 70's when I was a young kid, I was probably around 4 in 1976. Last time I went with my family as a kid I was 15 in 1987. Me and my brother meet two cute sisters at a hotel we were thinking about staying at; The Ozark Mountain Inn (Sadly it was destroyed in the Tornado in 2012) in Branson, they were swimming in the indoor pool when we came in and started flirting with us, we practically begged our parents to stay at that hotel because of them, and we did, we got to hang out with them quite a bit, only remember the older girl that liked me her name was Danielle, don't remember her younger sisters name, they had a younger brother I think his name was Vincent, only remember there were from Wichita, KS. My mom took a pic of me, my brother, and both of the girls and their brother by the pool, I think I still have the pic somewhere. I was so sad the day we left, I always wondered what happened to her. I'm almost 52 now and I still think about her and wonder what became of her.

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing this! This video features several dear friends of mine (most of whom are no longer with us) and even me as the lanky hillbilly kid in the street show. And, coincidentally, it was posted on my birthday three years ago.

It is entirely possible that I was there the day this film was shot.
I could very easily have been in the crown watching that skit. I even recall the skit.
I was there that year and I still take my kids there.
When we go on vacation, Branson is where we go.

In August of 76 I turned 6 years old, it was my family's First trip to Silver Dollar City. It was a Magical place to us, and I still remember the sights, sounds, and even the smells . My Biggest fear, was that One day it would lose it's Historical charm ,and become a ride filled Amusement Park . Now with tickets so expensive, it's no longer available to Middle class children.

It is sad how times can have a way of changing things. We have to be thankful for our memories. If you plan on going to the park 2 days of more annually, it is cheaper to get a season pass which includes discounts on food. We are planning on going to Dollywood this Fall and since it and several other properties are owned by the Hershend family, admission is half off at each of those locations.

I'm pretty sure my mom took me there in the 80s. I can't remember it hardly at all. I seem to recall a ship ride, galleon, that rode like a pendulum. It's strange how the years have been to my memory. My mother was none too nice, a drinker. But I seem to recall her taking me places as though we were a good family. I guess the reason I don't quite recall much is repressed memories.
