Folks, if you do a quick Google image search, please please be careful! You will find paintings very similar to my example, but not an exact match. You must look very closely at details. This type of scene was enormously popular in the 1920s and 30s and there are many variations on the English cottage and garden. Also……. A saying that has taken its place in the English language as meaning, originally, that a person was recognized by the shape of his (her) nose. It has now come to indicate what someone thinks of a person's appearance or demeanour: 'I like the cut of his jib', 'I like his attitude.
Your bungalow looks cozy and full of character. I spent my early years in a cozy bungalow, the first home my parents purchased. Those were happy years.
If it’s not the heat, it’s the washing machine! Always has to be something! It’s neat how you came across the calendar example of your print. This was a fun watch.
Hi Scot, understand your frustration. My youngest son works for the postal service, & these poor individuals, especially this time of year, could use semi trucks for delivery!!! At times, short handed, hire what I think, are people, not quite up to snuff, if you get my drift?!! Be patient, eventually, like magic, what you are looking for shows up!! I waited three weeks for a couple items, said I hadn't gotten the item, & I received the next day.... like magic!! Same with mail, so I guess patience has to remain a vurtue awhile longer. Sign of the times.Really enjoyed the video, always a pleasure!!
Hi ❤. Hope you enjoy your steak dinner. The story about the painting was what the fun of antiquing is all about. Stories , treasures, and discoveries. Love it. You are a good researcher.
Thank you for another video. I dusted the dining room and listened. My daughter and family will be here for early Christmas, Thursday am. I'm jogging around this house. Eek 😂 🎄
Love the painting 🖼️. Like you I have more art than I have wall space but I don’t seem to be able to control myself. I just love art so I switch out my art every so often .My family doesn’t always understand because I also paint.❤️🐈⬛
Cut of your jib means one's general appearance and demeanour. It comes from the shape and style of the jib sail of a sailing ship, which could reveal its nationality and quality.
Our computer is doing strange things. Sometimes I blame sunspots--I think they make Northern Lights. Your home is lovely--you did an amazing job decorating. I remember that type of painting. Gives one a sense of place -- I have English heritage.
Always amazes me that someone would do all that work and not sign it! I would be so proud to do a painting like yours that I would be my name on the front & the back. I have heard that school artists were not allowed to sign a painting if it was going to be entered i to a competition. Glad you have heat, it's getting cold!
I have several English cottage pictures in very old frames,I want to open the back of the frame, but I’m afraid they might crumble. I got them at thrift stores over the years. I also have what I thought were prints, took them out of the frames, they’re actual paintings. 😊
Hi, scott, I don't know if Universal heard my repressed voice what is going on. These is my 3th times my items disappear in 9 months. Last week I shipped a cd. Today, I was checking if sold items that were delivered. My cd was not when I checked the usps traking #. No tracking, nothing like I have not posted the item. I thought I am getting alzaymer. Thank God I watched your video. And thanks to you that you're making these videos daily.
Oh my Scott!! That cottage/garden print reminded me of an R. Atkinson Fox painting that I loved at my grandparents. It’s entitled “Sunset Dreams”. Now you have made me want a print of it for my place. Thanks for the inspiration!!
I have an oil painting copy of Spring Song by Simon Glucklich. It does have a signature but I can't read it and is dated 1929. I inherited it from my Mom's side of the family and it hung in the room I slept in when I visited my Grandma.
You might be the only person I know who likes the dark this time of year. Lol I have seasonal depression and once Christmas is over, I drag for two months.

That painting story reminded me of After the Funeral the cousin painted from post cards. Possibly if people have a paypal account they can log in and find invoices there 🤔
Correct. For my last 2 purchases, I didn’t get any email from PayPal, when I was expecting an invoice. I went directly into my PayPal app and there was the invoice.
Of course the nouveau riche hire top-drawer decorators to make sure their newly acquired homes appear to have evolved over time. It's so funny you're replacing that nice Victorian mirror, because recently I noticed it, and thought it a bit heavy, and out of scale for that spot. From what I see of that new mirror, it will be perfect, and work nicely with that corner cabinet. You have great decorating instincts, and your acting was fine, just more suited to the stage. I can see you in The Importance of Being Earnest, you'd be great as Reverend Chasuble. I'll be checking out your eBay store!
I am annoyed also..In hospital once again. Heart issues, pneumonia..sad, I missed videos...bad lake effect snow storm here in western NYS. Accidents. Roads closed, just dreadful. More snow coming..
I live in Athens, GA and we are unable to mail ANYTHING by USPS. Furthermore, our mail is being lost and delayed for 6 or more weeks. This is due to a complete mess of mail and packages diverted to the Palmetto Distribution Center near Atlanta. Our US Senators and Congress members have met with Louis DeJoy, but nothing has changed since this started in January. So I do not know how Pirate Ship works, but if any mail is being touched by USPS in the Palmetto center, there will be problems. There are videos on youtube taken by employees of the mountains of mail sitting around for months and packages falling from about 20 ft high off a large conveyor. Somehow junk mail gets into our mailbox.
Love a good English cottage scene. Your prints much better than those Thomas Kincaid imposter paintings...I try to emulate English gardens in my yard; a lot of work. I need a couple of live in gardeners. Great patchwork hat. I wish I could wear those types of hats...my hair is to thick and head too big. I like the "cut of your jib"...😉
What are the chances! my grandmother would do oil painitngs from vassar college postcards or prints of some kind, i dont have those paintings unfortunatly ( i have others)and vassar has obviously added new buildings so not sure if the orignal tree line paths etc. exist that were in those paintings. now i have to check my email for the invoice now that i'm home. I don;t know why chat doesn't show my full id as it is here when i'm watching the live sales...
Oh so interesting! Copyists! I found an interesting framed drawing of rabbits at a rummage sale, signed and dated 1892. A quick internet search for the artist brought up nothing but google image brought up another exact version of the drawing of rabbits…with a different signature and year! Both original drawings with same style, composition, highlights, proudly framed and kept for over a hundred years. I am thinking these rabbits were part of a correspondence course in art where they copied a print and learned drawing techniques. So endearing that these were treasured art works
Pirate ship does the exact same thing automatically when there are no glitches. Everything is archived and I can easily go back and look at previous labels without taking time to photograph each one. I’ve never had any problems before and this just may be a one time glitch. 😊

jib is a sailing term isn’t it?
Love those charming English cottage scenes from that era.😊❤
Would love to see you and the Antique Nomad discussing antiques.❤
I think they should do a TV series together. It would get top ratings. Perhaps throw in Kate from Follow That Bug too. :)
Steak! Yum! Enjoy the time with your mom and step-dad!
Love the cottage painting - Jeff and I treasure the one we got from you!❤

Yes, it’s beautiful!
OMG.... Mr. Rogers vibes to the max!
Jessica yes!! I was thinking the same. Mr. Rogers for this era 👍😁

It’s so hard to resist buying more art, isn’t it?
Mercury retrograde paired with holiday postal service traffic jam.
Happy Holidays! ❤️⭐🎄❄️⛄🎁
Such a great story teller u are. You have our attention and can be very entertaining, we learn alot from your knowledge
Aw, shucks!
Awesome painting!! I only found a jigsaw puzzle that looked like your cottage.🙃Hope your steaks are scrumptious 😊
I like the lithograph/calendar print. I've seen it before.
Love your hat.
Thank you!
Thank you, get warmed up!

Today I am contending with AI being thrust upon us. I wonder if that is making problems all over the place on the net.

Finely learned how to comment. From an old lady who loves watching your videos!
Yeah.....cheers......welcome!

I have seasonal depression and once Christmas is over, I drag for two months.
Im sorry your having trouble Scot hope you get it figured out.
Hooray your parents are coming over! I haven’t had a good steak dinner out in years. That is the best jacket ever. Is it corduroy?

Sending a little prayer & gentle hugs your way 🥰 🙏. Hope you’re feeling better soon ❤️🩹 💐!
The mirror!?🪞
Aloha 🌺 🥰🥰🥰
That’s serious!

This sounds like a nightmare! I'm so sorry to hear that.
Scott, how can everything go haywire when it is already there?! LOL 😆 🤣 😂.
Cut of your jib. A jib is a triangular sail on a sailing vessel
Indeed! I believe currently the expression refers to how a person feels about another person’s appearance.
Thanks Dad...😊
Hey you didn't show us the new mirror😮😮
How can you stay annoyed when drinking from beautiful ruby red cups ?

I just had to replace dryer then my oven went out just before thanksgiving
Oh, my goodness!
If folks are expecting an invoice, they can also go directly to their PayPal account and/or app and look for it. And, it's Mercury Retrograde...LOL
But what about the heat?!
Forgot to tell you. It’s patched prayers it lasts until spring time. Thanks for asking.
😂Scott lol
Hey Scott, what happened to the coffee man? In your videos, keep up the great work, thanks.
I'll bring him back this week!
👏👏
I love thatched roof cottage prints! I think that’s Jane Marples home in Chippingcleghorn!❤️🇨🇦🤣
You were going to tell us about your heat.
Plaid, cord, wool? Nice cap.
Is it about the heat????
Naw

There are some weird things going on with tracking and EBay and even PayPal. I am by no means a big business….
Scott you can keep photo records of shipping labels until it reaches its destination. I know that PayPal keeps that record if it is uploaded.
Pirate ship does the exact same thing automatically when there are no glitches. Everything is archived and I can easily go back and look at previous labels without taking time to photograph each one. I’ve never had any problems before and this just may be a one time glitch. 😊
Sounds like a pirate ship thing. I have experienced stranger things! Lol
