Great video, so good to see the colours out of the tin rather than on a paint chart. Fantastic idea for a video thankyou.

Trish, you are awesome! You helped me figure out what to do with my hon fleur! This will be my first project. It’s a bathroom vanity. I’m excited and scared at the same time! Wish me luck, I’m going in!! (But not before I watch a few more videos). Thank you so much it’s been a pleasure purchasing from your very organized business!

Hi Trish, I have been using Annie Sloan Authentic black on a piece but when I add water to help smooth areas while painting it dries gray and chalky. My whole piece is now very patchy with various shades of grey will this all even out with a dark wax or do I need to avoid adding water? I hope you can help

Hi Claire- you always want to add water to your chalk paint in a container, not by dipping your brush into water and then the paint. As you know - you will get an inconsistent finish. It will not even out with wax applied. This situation seems to be even more important when you are using dark colored or highly pigmented chalk paint colors. ~ Trish

@@ThePurplePaintedLadyMacedon thank you, Trish. That is really helpful. I actually left this piece as I had other projects to complete, I am so glad I didn’t rush ahead with sealing the paint before hearing from you.
