    I am a testament of this... I am American... my life starting going so crazy in such a bad way... I have seen death in the face so many times... turns out I was being called to Akomb... my blood ancestors practiced... and they were trying to get my attention .... things have smoothed out alot now... I graduate in Ghana in two years!

    Africans must go back to their old ways of worshiping their CREATOR than following the colonial Way of worship.this ll bring us back to the Almighty power, healing, success.

    I, who are “one of we” ( as my nana, grandfather and father always stated) came into some of this knowledge as a young man in NYC. Mudasi Ensa! Sankofa! The people of the Forest, Seas, Rivers and plains are calling us back! The Abosum keep beating our backs, can’t you feel it? Wake up, stand up, listen to the winds, smell the flowers while you can. Respect those that came before you! And mostly never think you’re alone. Whether you come from Yard, or Trinidad or Mexico or Brooklyn, you’re an African.
    ALWAYS GIVE PRAISE AND THANKS TO 💯NYAME💯

    As an African American who grew up Evangelical/Pentecostal, this video is amazing and is helping me learn where a lot of the practices in the Black Church in America originates from. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. Much Love!

    I see so many similarities to the Yoruba orisha. I wonder if the Abosom and orisha are the same thing.

    • @KoraAmammereTano
      @KoraAmammereTano  3 месяца назад

      @stritly Yes, both the orisa and abosom are divinities that embody nature. They are connected to specific locales and people and express themselves through the culture of those people.

    Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge! I tried to find documentaries in the akans but i couldn’t so far…. If anyone would be interested in sharing if you know any, i would very much appreciate it. I hope we can preserve as much of the original culture coming from african countries as possible, before it’s ultimately too late…

    Which other african practices are most similar to akom?

    • @KoraAmammereTano
      @KoraAmammereTano  10 месяцев назад +2

      All traditional Afrikan practices (culture) are similar fundamentally. Fundamentally, they all venerate Mother Earth/Mother Nature and the Ancestors, those who have lived their lives honorably and have earned the privilege of being referred to as such. Also, Afrikan cultures understand and acknowledge the realm of spirit, in relation to Nature spirits and Divinities, who are connected to the land.
