MWP is a class act! I also believe he would be a great Laker asst coach. His great knowledge of the game would be a great item to have on the Laker staff. A respected player and a Champion. God Bless You MWP.
Great episode! Wished the Drew League was discussed. Because Meta’s presence has definitely made a difference with the organization. Thank you Byron for creating this podcast!
Glad he clarified the malice in the palace because I always thought he was just scared of ben Wallace when he pushed him but with the back story makes sense now
This one was a straight gem 😂 I also credit Metta with unlocking James Harden’s potential with that elbow 😂😂 Harden literally took off after that and lit up the league with his foul baiting and rule manipulating. So many great stories. And giving credit to the Sacramento legends, those guys are royalty here in Sac; Brad Miller, Mike Bibby, Bonzi Wells, Kevin Martin, and of course Metta himself.
I wanted that chip SOO bad.. but not at the expensive of meta getting publicly humiliated. In the fifth grade as broke kid from Indiana. I only got to see the Pacers and buy a Reggie Miller Beanie Baby because of school. Reading test but really I watched the movie, my 5th grade teacher probably saw. Took me on a after school field trip & then a daytime trip to see a IMAX movie about the Pacers Bulls rivalry documentary. I've always wanted a Indiana championship but knowing why we don't have 1 helps. Love you meta-from a Hoosier(btw please show him this because I just walked in with my friend at his house when his dad rushed us to the TV to show us the fight and it's good to know the meta won a championship after all that b******* even if it wasn't with us we still enjoy it)
Ben Wallace doesn't get enough shit for causing that brawl. His reaction to the found is what got the fans worked up. People and I think the Pistons at the time said the game was over so there was no need for that foul. If the game was over then why was Wallace still in the game and why were the Pistons still trying to score?
I'm sure he agreed off camera to talk about it with Byron Scott or it wouldn't have been brought up. @ 22:28 MWP actually explains that. Those things are discussed. Byron didn't just bring this up without his ok.
Respect to both Gent's ! True-Champions! Thank you! Really enjoyed this interview.

MWP is nothing like how I expected him to be. I like him. And Byron Scott is a very good interviewer. Good questions conveyed eloquently.

This game was similar to Kawhi Lenoard.
Bring magic on the podcast
Mad respect for MWP after watching this episode.
LOLOL 🤣😂 Metta talking about potentially going to the HoF: ...I got a citizenship award. 🤣🤣😂😂 I died
24:35 for the fight explanaton
The self-awareness that MWP shows when he wasn’t sure he was good enough to play in the NBA is just awesome.
As long as we keep Kobes storys alive he never dies homies.
Glad he clarified the malice in the palace because I always thought he was just scared of ben Wallace when he pushed him but with the back story makes sense now
This man said, his first sport was tag, had me dying

You mean to say that malice started all over a drunk bet
And to think people wanted to end his career when he played the famous game against Detroit
apology
lesson learned on this one: Don't gamble on an assault, you will get F'd up! 😂
I loved him when he was active player but after this podcast I am even bigger fan of his than J was before

I'm not blaming Byron Scott but why do folks keep asking him about the Malice at the Palace? Idk what else there is to say about it
