hey so when I use this I can never seem to get my OperationType from the data. I tried everything

Hey, After digging a lot of articles, docs. Found out changeStreams are only available for replica sets and sharded cluster. Is your cluster sharded or replicated ? How did you do it?

Yes it needs to have replica sets for oplog which Is used by cdc

Did you noticed he never used replica sets?
Maybe he deployed local instance of his cluster on his local machine. Anyways have you ever utilized watchStreams upon a particular cluster?@@jeremiahblessing3891
