It IS an oversight by devs, but this is the equivalent of seal clubbing.
I wouldn't call this an exploit, but this certainly isn't "gameplay as intended."
If they hadn't bought out the market and skyrocketed prices of endgame items, GGG probably wouldn't have cared as much.

@@DeputyFish You must be young. Exploit, search its definition. If you KNOW the market. and you KNOW how the game functions for balance. Then you KNOW that getting way more then you're supposed to do with any other activity must be an exploit. Thus they EXPLOITED the scenario and earned wealth beyond what you should be able to.
Making it that they're the monopolists and can with that wealth make the economy unbalanced and make poverty a bigger issue for newer players or existing ones depending on their situation.
IF you find something that earns you a lot - it's a great rush - but stop and think if it's fair versus the other players. You might think: well others might figure it out as well so who cares. But it's best to ask questions first before using it consistently.

Day 4, going okay, but the loot is in a pretty bad state. If Kalandra was 1 and Necropolis cardfarming was a 10 and Affliction was a 9 then this league is probably a 4, and that's only because of the blight towers. Mechanic is really chill tho, I like it.

@@MadKurama99 Necropolis added nothing but a dumpsterfire UI that was absolute trash to play with, a miniscule league storage that went full every 30 minutes and a bad stash problem because of corpses.
The only thing that league had somewhat going for it was printing GG items without requiring double digit IQ. Which is why some people enjoyed it, I guess?
To me, the exploit part is that they flood the market and bought all the high values items expecting more values in the future. They dont need that many squires and other stuff like that. They intantly monopolized the market.
there is a lot of people doing that, hideout players, check beltons or mr9lives stash day 3, they make hundreds mirrors per league. Nothing of that is considered as an exploit. l2p
There are no rules against market manipulation if the items obtained are legit, i.e. no RMT or duping.

Cardpen was the FIRST of the group to get BANNED because of their snarky remarks and showing off to a streamer with his currency. 2 of the devs, who were watching the stream to know who was involved, immediately agreed to ban Cardpen until the league ends. If you think the currency in that guild stash was all they had... you're wrong.. Cardpen showed off 100+ mirrors, 2000 or so divines, and STILL had Squires, MBs, stacked to the brim. It was a shame that the currency got into the market and I think it was part of the reason why currency from Shipping has been nerfed. One of the Dev's on the forum was talking about nerfing Shipping before it happened and they said it was to reduce some of the currency that's within the circulation. It's wild to me because the BEST way to farm currency right now is either HEIST or SANCTUM farming.

@@noah3050 Somewhere between this and Meatsacks/Rogue Exile allflames is the acceptable amount. It's up to PoE players to experiment and find the specific limit.

this was on ggg part yes but when you are knowing this was unintended and keep abusing it for your own it will be come an exploit and dev gonna step in , maybe they should have stop at the first 10 map but they go overboard with 250 and also runing the game market , welp ..

@@nazeera2 idk man, it's a bit like back in the day using the save file editor in Diablo 2... yeah it's fun for 5 minutes but the fun of these kind of games is the progression. If you suddenly have the best gear instantly it spoils it for me.
It's poverty league if you're the top 0.001% of players who exploit fringe mechanics to get massive loot piles. The average player earned far more resources in this league through the mechanics.

no they didn't allow it that's why the exploiters got banned and the items got yeeted hahaha you'd be malding if they allowed it and bricked the economy but since it didn't happen, you now have the luxury of pretending what they did is not an exploit. The questions are simple "is this intended? how does this negatively affect others' experience?"
After allowing 6-socket Squires, etc after last league something really bothers me that they got punished because they did some deterministic targeted Card farming. Banning them feels like a gross overreaction after failing to take action last league.
i dunno, very debatable. Hows this an exploit? They just used what GGG forgot to overlook. Scry a map onto another map. OK they went nuts but who wouldnt.
From what ggg said. It’s just them 4 banned. they were soft banned for market manipulation. Buying all the high value items then selling them for more. They aren’t banned from the game but they can’t trade the items as they are now locked to the accounts. Don’t know what they are gonna do with 40+ mage bloods they can’t trade but they still keep the divines for standard.

@@Zweite93 it is. Just put a report in the trade website. Plus if u get scammed it only affects you and is your own fault. That’s why you have to hover over each stack when u accept a trade.

Man I need to get more experience with PoE again, didn't play for like 2 years and started again this league. My builds are so mid lol. Didn't die once getting to maps, and died 135 times in the last week in T14s...

Agreed, but it’s semantics. Everything worked as advertised, but farming 500-1000 raw divines per hour on white maps is probably a bit too destructive to the economy.
Yeah I agree with this which is why I think the loot should be deleted but banning them feels a bit to far. Though I can see why they were banned.
its clearly abuse of an oversight otherwise the majority of the playerbase would be doing the farm. You would end up with more divines then chaos in the economy at that point
As far as I can see its more on GGG than on the people doing this. Untested interactions causing a massive high end cash farm. I would argue they used nothing outside the game, changed no game files, used what GGG provided then broke the economy.
Exploits do not have to be bugs. 50x the div/hr of what most people can do is obviously not intended.

It was not a "massive exploit", it was a non intended results based on a non tested interaction.
Exploit was what you did in Ultimatum, or what happened in 3.24 with 6L black morrigan.
Furthermore, they were banned for market manipulation, not for what they did to get there. It's easiest the best case of clever use of game mechanics, just don't manipulate the market

Though this is something a player could naturally think of doing, without even realizing he's exploiting. I totally disagree about these bans. this was GGG's mistake of making it like this. Nobody broke the game in any way. GGG should just eat this F, fix the issue, and keep moving forwards. Not ban those people.

How do you know its an exploit, So what they are saying that if you find a working strategy they can just call it an exploit and ban you? There isn't money lost unless you are selling in game curr3ency on the market. The more divines on the market the less they are worth for people who get their currency from the black market. If the devs want to put the end to it make mirrors untradeable and problem solved. Turning in game currency into real cash is the only thing exploiting hurts.
With all that "loot" I will report the new mechanic for littering

If they got banned they should have also banned like 1/2 the fubgun strats last league or everyone in affliction who did the multi proj spire... i dont see how that is different.
Because one requires investment and more progression then the majority of the playerbase sees in an entire league, the other is so accessible that it would destroy the entire leagues economy once it got made into a youtube video for "top farms".

Max buffing a meatsack or spawning tens of thousands of rogue exiles per map is an example of harder content and the rewards stacked too high

No person said archnemesis league had great rewards even though you could make effectively immortal bosses in it. Same with metamorph. A complete coincidence all "good" leagues are low effort loot pinatas which require mowing down hundreds of enemies.

Well ive never exploited but if you do and it works, the only thing you will ever be found out for exploiting is telling others about it. Never tell people and you wont be found out…
In poe, the market is person to person. Ppl who sell mirrors / hh / magebloods this early in the league are definitely friends with each other or at least know each other. If the same group of ppl are buying these items, ppl will find out super fast regardless of their bragging screenshots

This is what happened with the 6-link beast craft shit last league with 6L squires etc, the exploit wasnt made public after like a month of the league being out. Surely people were using that shit since the first week.

The only thing that is weird to me is, they basically used the mechanics presented to them on teasers, scarabs given by the game, but got banned for it. Sure is "above extreme average" farm, but not a exploit, was it?

Everything is poverty league compared to affliction, but the amount of loot in affliction was a mistake. I'd say the average PoE player is getting more currency this league than affliction.

and also 4x ele for claw/attack damage abyss jewel, I was offered 1 div but I am keeping this for myself

Necropolis was even crazier for group loot.
Affliction was great. Only league that I managed to farm a mageblood.

@@tylerderden8880they purchased all the loot. Instead of showing a quad tab full of divines, they traded for the items. You can see they have them spread out in a pattern? No one is trying to pretend anything. It’s blatantly obvious how they got all the items

Necropolis rewards and crafting was too good despite peoples hate for collecting coffins. The shipments and the auto mappers are trash and needs way too much investment for mediocre rewards.
