Batchoy Recipe (Ilonggo Style)| Filipino Staple Dish

  • Batchoy is as a simple and easy Filipino dish made of pork broth and egg noodles topped with liver, pork, green onions, and crushed chichoron. The dish originated from La Paz, Philippines, but today we will be cooking the classic Ilonggo Bacolod City Style.
    Batchoy (illongo style) Ingredients:
    ¾ cup garlic
    1 onion
    1 Green onion
    4 lbs pork
    Liver (optional)
    Chichiron
    Salt
    Sugar
    2 tbsp Pinoy Sauteed Shrimp paste
    2 tbsp Fish sauce
    Egg noodles

    I cook my batchoy same as yours except sa shrimp paste na pinapalitan ko ng patis para makakain ang mga taong may allergic reaction sa shrimp. Delicious!

      Doesnt matter really kung sa family lang naman isserve. Sa bahay nyo ba hindi ganyan?! Kung for handaan, Im sure the cook will also do it differently. Chill, hindi yan magiging katapusan mg mundo.

      Wash ang liver with coarse salt.Then sear ang liver before putting sa soup base ng batchoy.

      Ok din yon pero mas makuha ang lansa ng liver Kung i sear mo hangang maluto ang liver tapos ilagay mo sa soup mga 5 minutes lang.

    Kung nasanay ka na sa Vietnamese pho, parang wala ng lasa yang batchoy. Naalala ko noong kumain kami ng batchoy sa Lapaz Market, di ko naubos yung inorder ko, matabang at kulang sa flavor. Masyado siguro mataas ang expectations ko and nasanay na talaga ko sa Pho

      Actually Pho has milder flavors than batchoy. It is bland in my opinion. Or maybe you went to a batchoy resto na not so good ang pagluto. Research lang
