excellent video. Replaced damper pads on a 31 year old Maytag and it works like new! Followed "method 1". Removed the cabinet for ready access to all 3 pads. After ripping the pads off, easily removed all the old adhesive with acetone. Glued new pads with Weldwood contact cement. Let the glue cure overnight. Greased the pads and reassembled. The electrical box tip made spring removal *much* easier! Kudos!!

The electrical box use is amazing.
Nicely done video. A good, clear explanation. The electrical box tip for the springs is very good. Thanks!
A product called "goo gone" removes adhesive like that really good. I've seen it sold at Pep Boys.
