I’ve never understood why places like this just get left like someone just got up and ran out in the middle of a normal day to never come back. Baffles me.
That's what happens when people die. Especially the elderly... they, for the most part, live alone in their older years and when they pass away if they have children the children seldom if ever go back to collect the personal effects of their parents. Unless of course, they were rich and had priceless antiques they can sell to make more money. Sometimes you can see that many of these homes have been gone through and items were taken. But adult children rarely want their elderly parents furnishings or personal effects.
@@Meriale46 My mom and I have discussed this very issue. Adult children generally have their own homes which are fully furnished and unless something is valuable or unique nobody wants or needs someone else’s furniture and contents of their entire house. Family members are sometimes estranged and have no desire to wade through a lifetime of someone else’s stuff.
Some of the items look like they were recently used. The record had no dust on it other items were in the same condition clean unusual with the amount of decay from ceilings and roof. I have noticed this in other videos as well. Thank you Leslie for taking the time to film and edit these videos for us to see.
That house is gorgeous! The bedroom could almost be slept in as is! Such a shame to leave it to rot! It always makes me think about how little we & our possessions matter😭

Hello hello, my dear friend Lesley, Sunday evening - and a new video from one of my most favourite Urbexers is uploaded. How great is that! The blue cope symbolized her celestial significance, as far as I know. I loved seeing the beautifully carved furniture in the living room. - My mom also used to produce a lot of canned food, so we still have quite considerable amounts of glasses with fruits and jams, etc. in our basement. - This cabinet, you couldn't open with the key, might have been used for documents and paper files. - I was fascinated to see how quite frozen in time these living rooms and dining rooms presented themselves, - untouched for decades - legit time capsules! - I also loved hearing you talk Dutch, when you read the text of the warranty. What a beautiful farmhouse Furniture is lovely and the brickwork on the building itself is beautiful thanks for reading the warranty letter love you all
Please help answer this, I’m honestly asking. Is it because of high taxes, or socialism that there are so many homes like this in Europe? I just can’t imagine abandoning such incredible furniture like the dining table and chairs, they are so beautifully made, but left to rot. Antiques are the ultimate in recycling, and they last a very long time because they are so well constructed.
These places you visit are beautiful I've been watching for a while I have a question about the beautiful antiques inside many of these places?? If they're left too long in these derelict buildings they will be ruined forever

Much of the furniture is not "antique." Good reproductions at best. Similar furniture was bought up in England in the 1970's, brought to the USA and sold as antique - unusual and stylish but not that old. Border customs considers, for import taxes, that an object is antique older than 50 years. In Europe "antique" might start in the 1500's.
@@BatchelderPatrick I can understand that but doesn’t their family want any of that beautiful stuff. If I lived closer I would love to have it and cherish it as much as they did. What a great video keep up the great work.
I disagree there are some antiques there and it's not just about age it is also from what period they are from Empire, Queen Anne, Chippendale, or even French oh and art deco 1920_1945
Oh you're from Belgium, Ive been through it on the way to Amsterdam. Belgium is famous for its giant, huge rabbits, I've always wanted one. Some really pretty villages. Loving the urbex, more please! X
Amazing explore of a beautiful house. Its very sad to see the property left behind.im crazy to watch such a abandoned house which remember me that one day we all will leave everything in this world and will go back empty handed to the LORD😭
It looks like Royalty or someone of status lived there. It is absolutely elegant!! I think that's my favorite so far. I have such a love and a connection with that time period as if I lived in that Era before.
Enjoyed the tour. The barn attached to the house. Was there mice/rats coming into the main house? And did i miss the bathroom or did they still use an outhouse?
My dad taught at a one room type school in Rhineland Manitoba Canada were the houses were connected to the house our was not we lived in the teachers house they had for teachers and family it was fun there especially if you forgot to go in the door to the right and not the left
I am a collector of antique furniture and I am shocked that they " the family " is letting those pieces of furniture wrought, they are worth a lot of money. Someone owns that land and home with its contents. If no one takes possession of its over few years, the government should step in, sell the land and its contents that are worth monetary value and give it to charity.
Where was the bath room? Such beautiful old furniture. It did look like someone got her cloths. So at least they were not rotting away. Could you tell what the country side looks like.is it like it is spring here. Were. Well stay safe and healthy. Till the next time USA
The Old homes look so much better than the Modern block houses. The Dining Setting looks valuable. The soup tureen looks like silver and would be valuable.

Hello hello, my dear friend Lesley, Sunday evening - and a new video from one of my most favourite Urbexers is uploaded. How great is that!
With absolutely beautiful background music you created once more a wonderfully formulated introduction. - Your style is unique. - When
you explore a location like this abandoned farm house you always fill it with some kind of new life - just with your charming and
adorable personality and your rich imagination, how the location might have presented itself back in the days when the former owners
were still living there. - Simply amazing! - Oohh, and your description, when you were at your granddads house, and he gave you these
candies, you found in that farm house, is really so personal and touching. - Just lovely, dear Lesley! - The doll under the glass dome,
your were admiring, could be a representation of the virgin Mary holding baby Jesus in her arms. The blue cope symbolized her
celestial significance, as far as I know.
I loved seeing the beautifully carved furniture in the living room. - My mom also used to produce a lot of canned food, so we still have quite
considerable amounts of glasses with fruits and jams, etc. in our basement. - This cabinet, you couldn't open with the key, might have been
used for documents and paper files. - I was fascinated to see how quite frozen in time these living rooms and dining rooms presented
themselves, - untouched for decades - legit time capsules! - I also loved hearing you talk Dutch, when you read the text of the warranty.
Thank you very much for this once more wonderful explore video, which was such a pleasure to watch! - Stay safe, dear friend, peace and
kindest regards. - Lots of blessings and greetings also to your dear brother Jordy.

If I was there I'd want the canning more than anything...those cherries..yummy.. and sir ..we absolutely still can and preserve today..its not s lost art
That street looks like something you’d see around WW2..that’s the big one boys.
Is there no family that could come and rescue her antiques this is such a beautiful place
It costs money to retrieve furniture. Could be a lack of resources to collect items. Or maybe their surviving relatives live far away 🤔
Oh you're from Belgium, Ive been through it on the way to Amsterdam. Belgium is famous for its giant, huge rabbits, I've always wanted one. Some really pretty villages. Loving the urbex, more please! X
Hi Simon ba
Am I the only one that noticed there was no bathroom???
Amazing explore of a beautiful house. Its very sad to see the property left behind.im crazy to watch such a abandoned house which remember me that one day we all will leave everything in this world and will go back empty handed to the LORD😭
It looks like Royalty or someone of status lived there. It is absolutely elegant!! I think that's my favorite so far. I have such a love and a connection with that time period as if I lived in that Era before.
Enjoyed the tour. The barn attached to the house. Was there mice/rats coming into the main house? And did i miss the bathroom or did they still use an outhouse?
Hi from London...cool place 😎 ❤
My dad taught at a one room type school in Rhineland Manitoba Canada were the houses were connected to the house our was not we lived in the teachers house they had for teachers and family it was fun there especially if you forgot to go in the door to the right and not the left
I am a collector of antique furniture and I am shocked that they " the family " is letting those pieces of furniture wrought, they are worth a lot of money.
Someone owns that land and home with its contents.
If no one takes possession of its over few years, the government should step in, sell the land and its contents that are worth monetary value and give it to charity.
This will be my house someday....as I have no kids and family...only me and my hudband. This is why it is imperative to write will and donate
Great video, thank you Leslie! So very curious to know what that record was on the turntable.
Where was the bath room? Such beautiful old furniture. It did look like someone got her cloths. So at least they were not rotting away. Could you tell what the country side looks like.is it like it is spring here. Were. Well stay safe and healthy. Till the next time

The Old homes look so much better than the Modern block houses. The Dining Setting looks valuable. The soup tureen looks like silver and would be valuable.
Thank you Lesley! I loved hearing you speak Dutch for the first time in all these years!! ❤
