Space Thunder Kids is more of a knockoff than you think it is.

In case you're wondering, that is the Comet Empire theme from Space Battleship Yamato (the disco version from 2199, I know the original exists somewhere but I can't find it). The plagiarism isn't just in the designs, it's in the music too. Shout out to the ripoff of Okita's ship (Kirishima) there, along with numerous Yamato ripoff ships that don't appear in that clip that have a goddamn arrow pointing to the wave motion gun port.
