Windsong's story was a sad but realistic one. Makes me glad they bundled Kalaana Bauna's story because her friend had a similar issue with more disastrous results. Why did Windsong have to appear before the broken character though!? I tried to pull for her but got jabaited by Lilya on my dolphin account and Tooth Fairy on my free to play. I am not complaining with the free to play because I didn't have enough pulls for Vila and need a strong healer bad on that account but still the baits suck. I am thinking on waiting on Windsong on the dolphin account because this means Lucy is guaranteed but I like her character. Ugh. Sorry to burst your bubble, but Lucy banner is seperate from Windsong and any other units because Lucy is limited just like Jiu's banner so their banners don't share pity.

Villa + Windsong DAYUM MADAFAKAAAAA Wait, it Will more crazy if you have Portrait 2 on Windsong, bc she Will gain 25% Crit instead of 10% (From her insight) And villa with her incantation Will give her around 30% (P0 villa) crit more Normal crit oriented character is around 50%-60% crit with psycube, +10% or +25% crit (depend on Windsong Portrait) from Windsong insight, and + 30% crit from villa incantation (because Windsong is a mental damage character) DAYUM

Go for Lucy man, as her afflatus is intellect and with a skill that can make her attack effective even against neutral afflatus, she's versatile and you'll need her more.
@@misterfake442 basically just elements, you know like a basic 4 elements weak against one after another and then there are 2 outside elements that only weak against each other. Lucy's Intellect afflatus made her only have a weakness against Spirit afflatus while neutral against the rest. But her skill made it so her attacks could even be effective against these neutral elements. If you want to understand more I suggest you read on Prydwen, they explained more in details. Windsong is also great but given her afflatus, Lucy is more versatile overall if you have to choose between them, esp if you're a new player.

I really, REALLY, liked the design of Windsong when I first heard about her and actually managed to pull her in exactly 10 pulls! (I guess I'm not going to be lucky for Lucy next update). Then I went to her voicelines, and hot damn does this woman talk about money a lot... kind of a turn off for me, especially when Ley Lines, even in the game, was just proven as a pseudoscience.
It occurred to me just now that, we're lucky she's not from the 21st century. She feels like the friend who bought in the crypto hype and tries to rope you in the trade... but maybe I'm just missing something.
@@andrewryan4417 in the story, it's more explained that her research is not funded that much but she still kept at it but thats also the reason she needs money alot, shes quite literally poor. In the side story, she has a really lovable personality and she gets immensely better. In the trailers, she looks like your typical sussy character but the side story will literally turn it upside down
but I only see 3-4 voicelines where she talked about money , half of it was about her being lucky to have it to survive while maintaining her career and not just for self benefits

And at least initially, she's bought off. Granted, it's not monetary than it is just being allowed to teach ley lines, and then rejects a much bigger offer later on, it does rub me the wrong way how narrow minded she is with her field of science (where she calls herself the sole ley line researcher) to the point a newspaper article about another scientist asking for funding pisses her off... but again, I might be missing a point here or there. I will admit that "complex characterization" is hard for me to have a good grasp on, especially when the initial impression is poor on me.
Adding to the other comments, it's clear in the R:1999 world ley lines are **not** a pseudoscience as it correctly predicted that there is coal hidden in the mines of Rayashki (the "black lines"). People are flocking out of it because it's using arcanum, which is frowned upon. You'll see in the side story just how bad her financial situation is; she's quite literally the last ley hunter and had no funding and thus no income source whatsoever. You are quite literally missing a lot of her characterization unfortunately.
