@@jezcolborne6329 so from street view there is a turn into the environmental building with a bell on the left and opposite that on the right there is a small bus stop looking thing (not the one on the main road, the one just as you turn in) and just behind that you there is the siren on top of a pole within a cadge at the top. How many sirens are there? Sounds like 3 separate sirens but the 3rd siren sounds higher but still loud enough to hear it. Must be the new HMS Raleigh siren

@@jezcolborne6329 We know (well, suspect - we can't prove models of all the sirens inside the base as far as I'm aware) that all now, but at the time of my initial reply 2 years ago we knew next to nothing about the sirens used.
@@al66class59 well most of them are KLAXON CS8S and one KLAXON GP12 sirens and that's what I know so no carters. These are all modern air raid style sirens but they are NOT air raid sirens but could be used if Putin tried to invade the UK like he has done in Ukraine
My cousin is In the navy he’s a submariner was docked at Devonport docks for minor repairs once forgot these exist he thought there was a nuclear leak turns out it was a test!
The opening credits are false, RN Devonport is home to 4 nuclear equipped submarines, nuclear equipped cruise missiles are on standby at all times in underground storage ready to be loaded onto the frigates and launched at any time.with a deployment time from the notice to launch of 12 minutes.

@@jezcolborne6329 there is no CLM that's why he is not replying. All sirens in the system are CS8's and GP12's. The higb pitched is a GP12 on 60Hz and its located on a building
@@mintysgt Torpoint - across the ferry. I grew up there - love this sound. Still hear it clearly from near Landrake - love this - the sound of my life - dad used to be called to work in the Dockyard by it - went off 3 times a day back then for shift worker change :-)

These sirens aren't Ur modern stuff they are original second world war Carter Air raid sirens left over from the blitz
They are modern sirens not WW2 sirens. The only thing is they sound the air raid attack signal that's all
