I remember not thinking much of Pritam around 2009, having only done a bit of music, but after nearly 14 years he has provided so many good original songs in an era where remakes/copying is more popular than ever, i think he deserves some credit. from life in a metro to barfi to Laal singh chadda, rocky aur rani, he really has stood the test of time while not just being the guy who made party songs anymore

@pkmkb-69 human mind is not active 24 7 isn't it It is done by many singers and for copying u need to adjust the tune with lyrics which is the hardest one and it is done perfectly
They don't release it early intentionally as sonu nigam don't adhere to the changing dynamics of the music companies(where music giants and autotone rule but real singers suffers ) : generally people attach with the one or two song (coz they set the narrative of the movie) that release after the teaser or trailer and they don't want him again to be famous(again in top) but sonu remain in our hearts. So give him(sonu nigam )song where lyrics are less ; where he does not have any chance to show his potential(what he really can do) that how a suttle song is always given to him but still with a mocktail of talent and skill he continues to surprise :)

Pritam likes to have 7-8 singers sing a song and then he chooses the singer whose song will feature in the film, Sonu does not like to work like that, he told Pritam to call him only if he is sure that he wants Sonu's voice. Since producers and music labels make the final decision, Pritam did not call Sonu for any film songs although he did a couple of independent songs with him like "Yaad", which is a beautiful song.
