I’m actually stoked for full body, I’ve been off recroom for over a year preferring the more social aspects and social worlds of vr chat and I’m stunned by some of the changes made while I was away. I think the one thing that’s always been recrooms strength over vr chat is that everything works with it’s own standardised rules, you don’t have crazy giant avatars or worlds that only work if you change your avatar to match that worlds rules. I feel like recroom has grown up, I can’t wait to start exploring new worlds with my full body avatar 😊

first of all, good video. and the points you made are also very good. when i first saw the full body avatar (even though i hated it in the first place.) i always said and will say it again this sentence: "atleast it's in the same artstyle as rec room is going with" why did i say that? because of roblox with their Rthro packages/bundles when they were added back in 2018. they looked cursed. not even the artstyle roblox was going for in the first place. that's where i give a huge points on that to rec room. i also like the customizeability like giving pants and shoes to your player but i also wish there was a option to toggle arms and legs (mostly because sometimes i draw my characters without arms but just have floating arms) but that feature will take awhile to even be a thing and might not even become a feature. as a person who is really into fashion for some reason it gives me alot of opportunity to play with my outfits. hell most of my time on recroom is spent on picking the fit that i can stay with forever. however with the stuff i like theres also some stuff i hate. once i saw the avatars i went "oh no" and already pictured all of the ERP and worst stuff you can imagine. hell today or yesterday i saw someone cosplaying as certain german leader.
You have a good view. Yeah, it is still the RR style. And people will still abuse whatever tools you give them. Just like custom shirts it opened the door for artists but also inappropriate things. In the end, the community need to help rr catch these people. The community is RR

Full body costumes of arms and legs have been around until it’s official seeing it announced in 2023 and released in February 29, and its incredible, because I didn’t think my wish came true from rec room and pretty much, I got surprised and excited for it, it’s incredible.
There was this one time I noticed something wrong with my fba with my outfit, it was just that the pants don’t match correctly because i though red and red would match but the outfit i wore with the bean body, it had black pants, so I changed it. The eyes didn’t really centered well in my skeleton mask so I had to adjust it so it looks more better. Overall, it is kind of goofy but I’ve seen my hand sticking out of my glove which was really odd..so hopefully rec room fixes it just to keep the hands inside the gloves and not sticking out.
Some of my outfits worked, and others not so much, but it's easy to change it to be better. I had to change the face on all of them so it doesnt look weird but i honestly love fba!
Honestly im glad its an optional thing. Because me myself doesnt like the full body avatar. But i find the look goofy. and seems like something to mess with. not something id use regularly. its gonna make rooms more fun seeing full body people and beans. and seeing people already glitching out the full body is so fun and goofy. im just gonna find this so goofy because like. Dam is it goofy and i love it so much. People who use it can use it. and people who dont, well. dont. And id love to mess around with it. But i didnt get it yet. i wish it was all lvl 50s not just random ones TwT. i want to mess around with it even tho im not gonna use it regularly. [weird rant is done now]

Honestly I’m just impressed. What I originally thought was they were not making FBA versions of the clothing, but seeing them just kinda take almost every clothing option and give it arms just makes me kinda happy, Whenever I get it, I’m gonna look at all of my avatars with it on.
nice to see my comment on the vid. like I said in my comment people may not like FBA because it is "different" but this is a stage for a game/community to not like it. it was the same thing with R15 in Roblox. people did not really like it when It first came out, but when people started to see the benefits it had with it. people started to like it. overall though I think rec room is at least trying to do something new to experiment with. so we will see how the future of FBA turns out :D
At first I did hate the idea of the full body but now I think my mind has changed, now that I have considered how my outfit will look, I can finally have my actual full body iconic outfit I love, and I’m really excited to see how dresses will work on the full body! I feel like rec room should add sleeves for custom shirts or shirts in general so if there was like a custom shirt designed to be a suit, costume with sleeves, i think we should have the option to add them. Great video 👍
i use a PC and in VR CHAT you can't throw items to the place you want it to be or do cool tricks but in REC ROOM you can throw basketballs, bins, and other stuff, i even landed a trash can like i bottle flipped it.
Honestly I’m really happy with fba I honestly can’t go back to bean avatar’s also I’m really excited for member movie night because I’m curious how some members would look like with fba and my outfit doesn’t look to bad with fba.
Most of the vitriol towards FBA relates to nostalgia towards the bean bodies. People will warm up to what is pretty much a natural step to rec rooms evolution. I’m personally hyped for full body! I’ve wanted to see what full body tracking looks like on rec room.

Honestly, I love full body! Although it is controversial, I think it looks great! I think there should be an component when holding custom invention items, they can change how the FBA holds it. For example, if you made a custom gun, but it's just a closed fist, you could change the grip to a gun grip! Or like the basketball and the bucket. Recommendations aside, I think this looks great with my main avatar, and all of them! Like you said, people should let rec room BE rec room, and will later make some changes, and great updates! Maybe even have custom gloves, pants, and other clothes! "Create Custom: *Button 1* Shirt *Button 2 * Pants *button 3* Gloves But overall, I think FBA is great. No matter what people say. Even if 15 people say your clinically insane *true story lol* but yeah.
Honestly I was part of the people that hated Full Body Avatars. But now after being given early access on an alternate account I must admit it was some of the most fun I've had on rec room in months. I still think the faces need a lot of work but overall I just like them now because of how funny and broken they are. Unfortunately none of my outfits really work with FBA because of the stretched mouth and eyes. None the less I can still make some cool outfits. So far a lot of my friends who previously disliked FBA are starting to like it more like I am.
In a nutshell, rec room full body avatars are really good imo. Sure they are a little buggy as of current but that is only because they are in a split test beta stage, but most of the game breaking bugs are typically seen in features majority of RR players don't use (like body scaling), and the noticeable bugs are usually the sleeves for clothing not being colored correctly which aren't much of a issue. Even though i have enjoyed FBA for the past day now of use, i still feel like i look completely different than everyone else while others look at me weirdly too, but that will change overtime as FBA rolls out to even more players, and becomes more normalized. When we start to help the devs polish FBA by bringing up the issues instead of complaining abt how it looks all the time, the faster FBA can look better, be normalized and given to more people, and eventually let the devs finally move on to more things that ARE actual issues with rec room that need fixxes.
My outfit kinda didn’t work at the start especially with the boxing gloves bu when they updated it the boxing gloves worked pretty good even though I couldn’t point it was good enough
Yeah, I'm now starting to realize the very big pros and cons these new avatars will bring, and I both understand both perspectives on this whole thing, like for me, I'm a competitive person, so I'm mainly playing PVPs, Quests, and all that kind of stuff, and when im not im building, doing 3D Outlines or hanging out with friends, and I feel like sertent portions of the community will have there own say on it, like with the more competitive side, we won't like full body avatars because of the fact the offsets will be weird, and it gives a big disadvantage with the added hit boxes, while say like the hang out community will like it because it's weird or funny and people will troll around with it, and I feel like that something like this is why the community is very split on it, because while more casual people will enjoy it because it brings those weird and funny moments, the more hard-core and competitive players will hate it because it brings a lot of disadvantages and changes that negatively impact the experience. So while I do think with time we could get used to it, it will definitely take a long time to get used to it, and I don't mean like a week, a big change like this could take months or near a year of getting used to for people to see it as normal, but usually just do what you want, but I ain't gonna harass people who use it, if it let's me more easily take someone out in paintball then so be it
I crash every single time I take a photo in Rec Room. It’s pretty bad. It only happens for PlayStation 4 VR headset also, I found a new glitch in rec room what it does is every single time I take a photo of myself it shows on the photo, a different skin, and for you, it will show that I’m wearing a princess suit, but for me it shows that I’m wearing a astronaut suit bud. When I take a photo of myself, it shows the astronaut sued. I have never seen anybody else do this is pretty cool until now. It has worked for two years. Almost I don’t know when Rec Room is going to fix it. It’s pretty cool if you want to see it just find an orange man in the game just saying.
i really enjoy the full body when i get my vr controller i will make my avatar fba because it sound like fbi, and i really like that i can see my hands with fba. A lot of things are very nice and its pretty nice!

I think it is only valid for VR or it was removed but it was good that it was removed because there were bugs.

I'm just hoping I get FBA soon. I'm a level 50, but I don't have FBA yet, and I know it's coming to level 50s first, so I'll have to be patient until I can see what my full body avatar looks like.
