The Patina Collective recently showcased a $1 million Mercedes SL73 that formerly belonged to the Sultan of Brunei. This incredibly rare vehicle features a 7.3-liter V12 engine, the same powerhouse found in the iconic Pagani Zonda. According to Vico, one of the co-founders, AMG custom-made numerous vehicles for Brunei’s royal family, leveraging the Sultan's extensive $5 billion car collection of roughly 5,000 vehicles. The SL73, distinct with its exclusive “SL 73” badge and right-hand drive, is a pinnacle of 1990s AMG engineering. The car, Vico explained, retains its stock features except for AMG wheels, emphasizing its rare and authentic build. After traversing through numerous hands-from royal family members to a UK collector-the vehicle finally landed at the Patina Collective.

Yes, you are correct. The Pagani Zonda used the 6.0L V-12 Mercedes-Benz engine also used in Mercedes-Benz models like the S 600, CL 600, and SL 600 from the 1990s. The 7.3L V-12 engine in this Mercedes-Benz SL 73 AMG is bespoke and original. No other models I know of use it since it was made specifically for the sultan of Brunei. Japan did have an exclusive Mercedes-Benz S 72 AMG Coupe (C140) back in the late 1990s which had a 7.2L AMG V-12 engine also. I think the Yakuza favored that car.

whoever does your color grading during editing, got it totally wrong. Look at the pink interior. No way its the lighting. Its way too dark. That interior is pink

@@1n2333facts what makes it worth that price tag is the fact the it has pre merger AMG parts on it and it's built by SGS unfortunately the American consumers aren't hip to these cars so for ya'll they quite cheap but for the rest of the world those cars are like Gold on 4 wheels for example an old BMW E30 325is now go for around $100k around the world but in the US you can pick one up for $15k-$25k.. same goes for some American classics going for $70k in the US but in Europe or South Africa you can find that same one for $10k-$20k😂
