Cait really is summink else. As well as a wonderful musician and talker she's been in the Pogues and been to Antarctica. Top that.

I've been to Wall Drug and Umeo. I listened to Cusco in Cusco. I've never been to a Pogues do, so I will die sad, unless I can hang out with Bruce Cockburn in Banff while he plays bright Side of Life by Monty Python then ride a short 40km bike ride w/ Peter Sagan and/or Coryn Rivera.

First time hearing her speak. The stories she must have, being in the Pogues and having been married to Elvis Costello. Loved that the name dropped Tom Waits, who is my favorite artist of all time.

Great insight into an amazing song and yes it is a vital part of Rum, Sodomy and the Lash. It is the song that I think of when I think of that record and Shanes delivery and the imagery never fails to bring a tear to my eyes even after all of these years. Thanks Cait.

Quite frankly this Lady is rather encapsulating. I wish she would meet to discuss a prison song,I have to share.
I was wanting to share it with Roger Waters. They have both inspired me during my youth,ie,Pogues/Pink Floyd.

Cait changed a word from "sent me away to the war" to "sent me away to their war". A guy I worked with was a little too gung-ho about the first Gulf War. Too much CNN, I think. Kept saying his brother was in "the theatre" so a friend and me sang the whole tune to him. He wasn't happy.
