Some of these are very good and can find expressed even in our Scriptures,
especially the Proverbs. The quote about fearing death is in Shakespeare but
it doesn't mean it was taken from him. True courage isn't the absence of fear
but over coming it and doing what is right no matter the outcome.

More of a story than a quote here. A strapping young native in his prime was out on a hunt. Decided to take a rest under a shade tree. While resting there, a government man comes along and suggests to him that he should go out and get a job. He simply asks the government man what a job is. So the government man then explains that with a job he gets to earn money. So he politely asks what money is. The government
Man goes on to explain what one can do with money. The native again asks what for. So the govenment man goes on to explain that when he gets enough money, he can retire. So he asks the gov’t man what is retire. The gov’t man then explains that is when you no longer need to work because you have all you need, all you have to do is hunt, fish, make babies, etc, The young native then tells the gov’t man “Doing that now, and you white men took this away from us to make it better”

Who needs a written language when you have epic fishing stories, right? Your grandpa sounds like a legend! I can almost imagine him riding that monster pike. Keep those tales coming!
