The thing I loved about card kits was knowing that everything coordinates, so you can mix and match endlessly and just enjoy the process. The biggest downside: all those leftover bits that you may or may not ever get around to using up, but they are just so hard to clean out. (I am really lucky because there a re-use store in our area that I can donate to and know that someone else can play a second round!) What I would really like to do is find a nearby nursing home (or adult daycare, or something similar) to donate the items to, and do a cardmaking class for the residents. One of my favorite things I did with my mom just before she went to the nursing home was sitting at the kitchen table with a card kit and sharing the creative process with her. She never got the cards sent, but I found them after she died and sent them to my siblings for Christmas last year, explaining how those cards came to be. Thanks for some new ideas to use up my things.

I love that you cut them apart and use the card backs to make other cards. My friend shames me for doing that, but I get more cards out of the kit! Why would I waste all that?! TFS
Dont listen to your friend. Cut them up how you want and they will go further so you get better value for your money.

Natasha, Great video. I like giving card kits away as presents to people who don't make cards, but like to be a little crafty. This way, they have all the components to make cards. 😊

Love the designs. I tend to never use the base as a base because I'd rather use it as a card layer and then put the whole layer on a white or cream card base. I just think it makes it look a little more finished than the way they come. Love your work.

Great ideas shown to apply to any kit. Cutting up the card bases is what I usually do to stretch the supplies. Especially cutting up the flower pattern bases was a good idea - that was good use of intense/loud colors. I enjoyed the use of the foil stripes. Each card was very unique. TFS

Nice kit and I love what you did with them.
You and your kids will have a ball making up some more cards. The first thing I thought when you were showing the designs and almost all of them seemed to be the same on the front and back was that I'd extend the kit even more and cut down the crease line to get two "working" pieces from one. I was glad you stretched the supplies and made such innovative adjustments to get designs that didn't look like they'd come from the kit. I REALLY like the second one with the big stems and leaves cut from the floral cardstock overlayed with the neutral. As always, very nicely done!

They turned out very nice Its nice to do a kit, then you know everything will match. I have so much 12x12 paper and 8 1/2 x 11 and scraps that I've had for years for scrapbooking, I don't dare by more but it sure would be nice!!
I don't tend to use card kits much but they are fun sometimes and give me inspiration. The cards are beautiful Natasha.

Great review. I cut card kits up too. I may make some following the designs the card kit sets out but most will be my own designs. Better value for money and you get so much more from the cstd kit. Tfs.
The best thing about working with your daughter is that you can’t go wrong since everything goes with everything in a kit. And that’s a great kit x
These come in handy sometimes, I bought something similar, it was a kit for embroidery cards. I thought it was handy to see if I would enjoy the embroidery before buying the dies. I’m glad I didn’t buy the dies!

i would love to see a temu review. im not one for hyped up places but i do buy from ali and ive noiced some things are similar or the same looking on temu compared to aliexpress.
I'd love to know what you do with the leftover die cuts after you've used up the rest of the kit. I have a few older Spellbinders card kits, either that I got on clearance, or that I got because it was cheaper to get the Value Club kit in a given month than a couple of the die cut Club Kits, and I have about a million die cuts from these that I have no idea what to do with.
