Tyler- this was outstanding. My printer is running again. It turns out that some debris had fallen into a corner where I couldn't see it with everything together, and once I got it taken apart, I found and removed the debris and was good to go! The way I saw it, I had nothing to lose by trying. The printer was toast as it was. Everything went back together with no spare parts. Thank you! (Now, all I need is a solution to the issue of it disliking remanufactured ink cartridges. Bonus points if you can fix that! :) )
I didn't have a dremel, so I had to get creative and bend the metal to put the gear back in place. Worked for me! Thank you for this video!

Thanks for the video. Same issue here. Fixed it. But had some problems now with the paper feeder.
Where does the white foam insulation go back in to?

Good video little fast after taking it apart found my gear had a crack on one side I used JB Weld on it
when i send a job to the printer the green power light just continues to flash but never prints, both on usb and blootooth, I have rebooted both printer and computer

Good video and instructions. Not being a printer repair tech but a fix it my self'er, I'm not clear on the part to cut out for access and what to look for when you access-pull the gear. Should you use Gorilla Glue so that it it close to a permanent fix or something not as strong just in case. Also, do you have a version of this video that is not in high speed for I need to see some of the details for disassembling the unit. Thanks.

Great video, really helpful in fixing the gear issue! However, now I face 'carriage stalled' issue after fixing the gear with super glue as you've suggested. Do you face the same problem? Any ideas to fix that? Thanks
Hmm... I didn't have that problem. Is it possible that something was knocked out of alignment during disassembly or that a little glue got on something and needs to be broke free? My best advise would probably be to try and move all of the gears and wheels by hand to make sure everything moves and troubleshoot from there. It is difficult for me to diagnose without being able to physically see and touch the problem, as that is how my brain works.
I have another of the same printer with the gear problem. I just haven't gotten around to fixing it. I may be able to help better when I open that one up. I just don't know when that will be.
Hi again. Thanks for your reply. I've tried to figure out the cause of this problem for the past few weeks and found out that the main cause of my problem is the small gear that had fallen off itself. After close inspection, I've found that small gear from my unit had an uneven space for a particular point, it is marked by a dot (a tiny budge) on top of it. That space is a bit wider compared to the rest. Thus, this cause the printer to get stuck at that point after cycle of 1 or 2 printing, and make everything to be out of its proper sequence. i would like to know whether the small gear from your printer is the same like mine and would like to ask your advice how to properly position it in order to avoid it getting stuck. is this the repair that needs to be done when theres a "paper jam" but no paper in sight? My ink cartridges aren't moving and lights are blinking.
