Urban & Street Photography Toronto + Camera Gear for 2024

- After lots of thinking and testing all year, I've finally put together what I consider to be the perfect camera gear for 2024, and head out to do some urban and street photography in Toronto.
I had a last minute opportunity to spend the day in Toronto with my friend Andy, so we explored a new area of Queen Street West, and shot whatever we found interesting.

There's some great interest in the mean streets of Toronto. It looked good Simon. I'd like to mooch around there myself. I'm with you on the primes. In practice that's all I ever tend to use.
We were at the dodgy end, but survived. 😅 Definitely a good city to mooch with camera in hand.
Some great shots in there. Loved the light on the city from the lakeshore. Funny how perfect weather for most people isn't good enough for us. 😂

Some fantastic images Simon, shame you never got conditions you hoped for but yo made the most of what you did have, for me the stand out image was at 11:09 , the colour contrast is fantastic, leading lines a focal point , really liked that one ! another good video Simon. I am sticking with my Z6 for this year also. The Z6II was meh for me and I suspect the Z6III will be as well. Perhaps what I would like is a z30 mkII same as before but with a removable EVF (I know that wont ever happen) and 10 bit video
Cheers Paul! The Z6 is an incredible camera and very much under-rated. I've shot on the Z6ii and the only difference is better eye tracking, which I rarely use for photography anyway. It will be interesting to see what the Z6iii has to offer. I'm assuming 10-bit video and much better focussing. I have no idea why they didn't include an EVF on the Z30. 🤷🏻♂️
Loved this series you've been doing ❤ made even better by your nikon choice 😊, nikon been given the potatoe status 😮. Although nikon photography using Sony for video, and into new year attempting 35mm ricoh... New/old challenge
