This restoration is my favorite thing in the world to watch. I’m gonna be really sad when you finish this truck because it’ll mean no more new videos like these for it 😭you should buy another 73-79 and start again when this one is done 😁 wish I knew everything you know about trucks so thanks for filming this and teaching me🙏
Wow such kind words. That means a lot. I’ve actually got my eye on another dentside farm find. Need to get Wallace the 66 completely road worthy and I’ll be selling him. Build my shop then I’ll have time to search out the next project. There’s more coming don’t worry! 😜🤘🏼
That is so humbling cuz there’s some really good automotive tubers out there. Last night I dreamed I was invited to one of Cleatus McFarland’s big events and I was racing against some of them - vice grip garage, puddin’s fab shop, junkyard digs, sleeperdude (I think is what his channel is called), etc etc. I was PUMPED!!!! Imagine how sad I was to wake up and find out it was just a dream! 😩🥹 So now I have to set this as an official goal! Burnout competition 2023 and drive a crown Vic around the oval and finish the race! Got goals!!!!
Hey Troy and Tavish, been a long time watcher since pretty much your first video on the ol girl. Very happy to see you guys making progress! And as always, appreciate you documenting it for all of us to watch! Would also like to mention, the 38 gallon fuel tank from LMC was on the best choices I made for my 78. Mine never came with the side tank and 351m and fuel mileage don't exist... So keep that in mind in the future! LMC sells a complete kit to make install easy
That’s good info and I’ll keep that in mind. I’m gonna try something on Wallace and we’ll see how that goes. Full video and review of that coming (eventually 🥹)
Fuel mileage and these trucks period straight up doesn't exist. If you have anything other than a 302 they just seem to suck gas down all the same. A coworker of mine has a 300 inline 6 and it only averages 12 mpg, about what my old neighbors straight 6 F150 got as well. Got a 351M or W, 352,360,390, 460? flush the toilet!
Hoping to take Midnight Maroon AND Wallace the 66 to “Cars and Coffe Car Show” the first Saturday of October (weather better cooperate!!!). Maybe we’ll see you there!

As I've said before, I could watch your guys' stuff for hours on end. Probably my favorite content on RUclips!

Nice video Troy! Keep ‘em coming man!
Seeing you guys work on this 79’ makes me wish I kept my 79’ F250 automatic Camper Special.
Trust me I get it. I think everyone has regrets years after letting a vehicle go. I hear it all the time. Thanks for the kind words.

Hi Troy!✋ the Midnite Maroon is looking Sa-Weet! 👌 Keep making progress!
Can’t wait till it’s all one color! Even if it’s only in primer it will be a huge milestone. Got some rust repairs on the bed to make first though.
great job!! you make want to continue with my 78 f150 project.
Git er dun
I had a hell of a time getting the doors, fenders, and hood lined up. Got them close but was never quite right
You’re scaring me! 😱😜
