I’m really enjoying watching your videos. I have no hair training, but have been cutting my own pixie for about a year now because of the pandemic. I had a cheap pair of thinning shears, then bought some nicer ones. The nicer ones seem to really take a lot out though. I guess there are different sizes of teeth in thinning shears. Do you have a recommendation for a particular thinning shear or some guidelines as to what to look for so that it doesn’t take out as much hair? Thanks so much!! Love this cut on you.
sounds like you may have texturizing shears. They are designed to remove a more substantial amount of hair and add volume. Thinning shears have smaller teeth and remove less hair. They are designed to remove the lines left by scissors and blend the hair. I don't really have a brand preference but I mostly use thinning shears for everything.
Yep, it looks fine to me, it does enhance your eyes more and the concentration was intense on your face. I get the impression you don't like hair on your ears. I loved how you clicked your fingers and hair appeared wet, that was class editing

Short haircuts can be very unforgiving. My husband has told me a number of times that giving my teen boys their haircuts is more difficult than trimming my long hair. I would definitely not be brave enough to try and cut my own hair, especially that short. Perhaps given your expertise you could train your husband to help you cut the back that is so difficult to reach.
Keri Hatgirl that is so true! Short haircuts are much more difficult. There is no room for error. Fortunately my hair grows quickly and in a week or two all my flaws will be grown out enough to be camouflaged.
And that is why I am glad that my husband gives my boys their haircuts. Being they are picky teens, I would never hear the end of it if I screwed up. When my friend wanted her overgrown pixie cut, she was very concerned about his experience cutting short hair. I knew that he would do a great job, otherwise I would told him not to give her a haircut. She did say that she had been tempted to just shave all her hair off being she had been working online from home and doesn’t expect to be back in the office until next spring. Hubby assured her that he would not leave her bald. So I definitely understand your thought process that your short haircut will grow back.

I always recommend staying closer to your natural hair color. It tends to be more flattering.😊

I’ve been doing it for a long time and sometimes it goes well and sometimes it doesn’t... but it always grows back so I just go for it!
