There was a burning urge in me to understand how to find atmakarak from original shloka when astro people kept on telling me that your darakarak is Jupiter and atmakarak is moon and I could not digest it at all. When I see people always emotional and depressed, though I am an empath but I don't see logic in sleeping with emotion day and night, I identify very less with moon. She didn't divorce him and I don't think she will (she doesn't have good options due to age and having a child), but my friend has to support the family by himself, as she refuses to work. One time she has told him directly "I'm only with you for the money". I'm 100% sure she didn't leave him exactly because divorce would be less profitable for her than living the life of a financial parasite.

My friend has already endured the worst of it, when the wife was treating him very badly. I think now she realises that now her position is much weaker - which my naive friend mistakes for her character getting better. I've tried to explain this to him literally dozens of times, but he is deaf to it. He's got Venus-Rahu conjunction (6 degree distance) - perhaps this is the cause of his problems, Rahu negatively effecting the karakatva of Venus?

Are you using minutes from Navamsa not Rashi to calculate atmakarka?
