We went to Bora Bora in July 2002. There are 2 seasons in French Polynesia. Dry and Rainy seasons. We went during the dry season which is Summer in the USA. It was really hot and very dry except when we went in the water, obviously. No rain at all. We had to use a lot of sunblock!!! There was one main road that circled the island. Very dark in the evenings back then. Fish is the main food there besides the French baguettes and the delcious French croissants. Actually back the then the only inexpensive food there was the baguettes because they were subsidized by the French government. They cost like 42 cents for a nice sized baguette! But eveything else was very pricey because they are imported. I remember a cheeseburger was like $13. A coke was like $6. That was 22 years ago. I wonder what things cost threre today?
