    Huddison... Just finished watching this video. Fantastic job! You did better than I would have in handling those ATC instructions. A couple of times I went HUH? What did ATC say? I don't think I can even write that fast to get down what to repeat back to ATC. You would hear a lot of "Please repeat" or HUH? (lol) from me. Which I would think ATC would not like. Educational and entertaining to watch as always. I have to get up the courage to try a Vatsim flight. Please continue to share your Vatsim adventures. I think if I continue to watch more of your Vatsim adventures I will get that courage I need. Cheers!

      Thanks Bob. The first couple of Vatsim flights are a little nerve-racking, but I always like to think: 'what's the worst that can happen' ;)

    Holy smokes. I’m new to flight sim and this blows my mind. Will be a long while getting used to flying before I attempt vatsim. What a brilliant tool though. Very well done though and keep up the great work.

    I think you did really well especially with recording it as well. It does get really complicated if they change Sid on you or even stand and taxi. I have had to stop training on Vatsim as when I go to Chartfox or Little Nav Maps it can knock out my Auto pilot. This gave me real trouble on take off as I could not follow the Sid and another aircraft was on missed approach and on my tail so I got shouted at as if a real emergency.. I was sweating along with you just listening to you. I don't know if you might consider doing a group flight with a Vatsim Controller as a training exercise, as I think they forget how stressful and rewarding it is. Any Vatsim AT 's watching perhaps you could offer us some help as you guys are ultra professional. I am working on a way to stop the Bravo Auto pilot drop out so should be back soon on Vatsim training.. I can not say I have had a gentle training but it could be me just just not on top of the full Vatsim technique.

      It could well be a setting I've overlooked; let me know how you fare.

    • @GamingWithFusion
      @GamingWithFusion 2 года назад +2

      Definitely interesting. Not sure if it's because I have two monitors or a setting, as you said. For the flight, I was initially extremely nervous as typical to get back into the professionalism. Stepped away from my computer for a minute to relax, then jumped in, hit that push-to-talk button, and forced myself to call the circuit pattern. Everything went well for the most part besides a wonky joystick; messed up by not saying "right closed traffic," all that was wrong for communications though. Really feels great to have the ATC communication; adds quite a bit of depth to the experience and will hopefully be incentivized with my new Honeycomb Bravo throttle quadrant order coming in soon. Now it's just, practice, practice, practice! Thank you for the motivation through this video and for *NOT* leaving the communication mistakes out; it's an endless motivation to see errors, yet you still trudge on! Look forward to hopefully seeing more of this and your ultimate progression through VATSIM :))

      @@Huddison For your push-to-talk issue, I've done a bit of digging and people are saying to run vPilot as an administrator in order for it to function in the background. Have you attempted that?

      @@Huddison Off topic. But you MUST buy the new anniversary Microsoft/Carenado Beechcraft V 35 Bonanza from 1966-67. Would have to rate as THE finest coding for any FS 2020 aircraft. And they even included a Garmin GNS 530. A real tribute to the great Buddy Holly and so many others that went down in this "widowmaker" as it was known. It's a REAL challenge even in virtual form. Hi Huddison. I have a challenge for you and you subscribers. Flying the Cessna 172. I recently discovered Trasco Heliport on Trasco Island, Isles of Scilly in Google Earth, its a VERY short runway (401.5Yds). I checked to see if it was in MSFS and it is. It's quite a job to find but if you fly the following course from St Mary's airport you should be able to spot it. Fly 288* from St Mary's for 3 1/4 miles to Samson Island, passing to the South of the island, turn to a heading of 010* and once passed the North of the island turn onto 068*, fly towards the beach on Trasco and look for a building to the left of the runway and you should see the markings for the runway. at this point you need to be almost at stall speed (50 Kts) if not you will be in the lake at the other end of the runway. It took me a few tries to land there but I did succeed in the end. To take off again you need to be next to the Lake at full throttle, brakes on and flaps one and then brakes off and you should get airborne before you end up in the sea. Good Luck everybody.
    Thanks for your Back to Basics videos, they are a great help.
