Mahalo from Maui Stu. Your genuine positive vibes are much appreciated! I can tell this is how you behave shopping, driving, and sleeping. Basically all the time bro! It helps me as a beginner stay focused on the prize.
Hey Stu, I’ve not been on your channel for a while, busy moving countries, I’m finally settled and getting back into your wonderful classes! I was thrilled when I saw you had reached 100K subscribers! Well done you! 🎉 thank you so much for all you do, spreading joy and love with your music! My two younger grandkids are starting to play ukulele with me (here in London) so I am a very happy grandma!
Thanks for the extra C major scale bits on the pdf! I'm just learning to read music for the uke and this was very helpful! Loving your channel and chill/inspiring lessons 😊
I almost can't explain the huge progress I made since I stumble on your channel. Every lesson is pure liquid gold waiting to be crystalized in improvement. Most useful tip for me ever was : "use the magic muscles at the corner of the mouth to smile" and to remember that music is made to be fun :) I'm really feeling the switch from the campfire strummer I was and the musician I am becoming. Your cool and kind mood, the care and attention to details you put in your craft, everything feels it's made just for me and helped a lot learning in a constructive way. More than that, I can implement these new skills in other songs. It's good for once not to simply learn a song's riff but to be leaded on the way to just play better. I was struggling last few months. I witnessed ... things, developed a PTSD and lost my job, all in a very short period. Finding an exit from the hell my life was trough arts and music kind of saved my life (or at least preserved me of sinking into alcool, drug abuse or god knows what?). It would have been a lot harder without the joy and satisfaction that come along with the improvements I made and new knowledge learned watching your videos. Even not practicing and just watching, the positive energy flowing out of your lessons always finds a way to cheer me up. Now as things getting better, my mental health is somehow manageable and I just found a new job (today! :D ), my very first paycheck is already dedicated to buy a private lesson and become a patreon Thank you so much Stu Stay yourself! btw, french speaker here, watching from a small town in northern backcountry, Québec, Canada And congratulation for the 100k. Jesus had only 12 ;-) XD
Congratulations on your 100,000... So appreciate your lessons. I am actually learning banjo, and recently acquired a tenor banjo, and your lessons are really giving me a boost. Your skills are beyond measure, and your patient and engaging teaching method is such a joy... and I don't even have a Ukelele :) yet. Thank you from Mullumbimby, Australia.
Tooo much fun! Another Great lesson. Congrats on 100k! 🎉👏 Here’s some lyric translation for those tongue tied like me… To dance the Bamba, to dance the Bamba, one needs a bit of grace. A bit of grace for me, for you, now come on, come on, now come on, come on, for you I'll be, for you I'll be, for you I'll be. I'm not a sailor, I'm not a sailor, I'm a captain. Great lesson as always. I like your teaching, I want to be a better player because of it. And now I can‘t stop playing this intro 😒😂 I need more time to strum and „sing“ at the same time. C is not my pitch most of the time. I‘m either grumbling or screeching 😂 My neighbours love me ….
@@UkuleleZenI play it a bit different. C: d du F: dud G7: u ududud Repeat Sometimes I can sing and strum this pattern for a few seconds 😂 For now I can sing and change the chords in time. Around line 3/4 I even find the right pitch
Yes… No monthly live streams or a full hour… Slow-paced, so everybody can follow along beginners to advanced… Thank you for hanging and making music with me! Happy jamming 😊🎶🤙

I like to suddenly transition from this into "Twist and Shout", the players enjoy it.
YES!!! 😃🙌🎶
That's basically where the creators of Twist and Shout were coming from!
Thank you so much ; not easy for a beginner but beautiful and very clear ;…… would you use a strap on a soprano ?
