Along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal: Wigan Flight of 21 Locks to Haigh Hall Country Park

Canal adventure and exploration. This video showcases the Wigan Flight, 21 locks over 2 miles. We begin our journey along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal just after the Leigh Branch Junction and finish at Haigh Hall Country Park.

Actually there are 23 locks but the first two are just before the Leigh Branch so they aren’t part of the Flight. Yeah just imagine all the work required to either go up the flight or come down the flight, mind with an energetic crew it would be fairly easy, but if you are on your own it would be hard graft. 🍺🍺🍺
