Hi Liz, great tips. My biggest problem is cutting out sugar, but I’m trying. I could always eat anything and never gain weight until a “certain age” and now I really have to watch what I’m eating.❤

Thank you Joann. I have the same issue. I find not cutting it out, but cutting back here and there is helpful. 😊 But the struggle is constant, there’s so much delicious tempting choices out there.💕🌸

You are correct Donna. The amount is really the issue. I normally ALWAYS split a plate with someone whenever we eat out. They give WAY too much food. And even the extra sugar and preservatives in the grocery store choices is just sad in America. Really we just need way less than we think in America. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!💕 Always love hearing from you!😊

The content is also not healthy there. Too much sugar is everywhere. Also meat with hormones and antibiotics - that’ll mess anyone up. Europe has stricter regulations 🙏🏻

I have found that portion control and not eating or snacking after dinner has helped me. I also lift weights twice a week and enjoy cardio dance and walk every day. The exercise has toned me and increases a positive attitude. I am going to be 73 in a few weeks and plan to live my best, healthy life. Great video and very motivating.

Lis, thank you so much for putting out what has helped you! You are amazing. I am 65 and my husband and I are learning how to eat and be healthy. Not to be obsessed about food and certain groups like sugar and simple carbs that turn to sugar!! Portion control is a biggy! We try to eat more protein too.

Thank you very much for all the good ideas for keeping healthy!! Only one important health idea for those over 45 is to keep yourself active either walking, or light weight lifting because muscle in our bodies is needed. When we have actually strong muscles we have a better posture, when we do lift things heavy we are less likely to hurt ourselves. Also there is an actual chemical reaction that occurs when our muscles are developed that calls up calcium. Then calcium goes to strengthen our bones. Look up Dr Berg on RUclips he can explain it better. ❤

Hi Sadie! You are absolutely right!😊💕 Unfortunately not exercising is one of my biggest downfalls. I will incorporate it one day, but I’ve failed so far. I just really don’t enjoy it, so I don’t prioritize it. I know that’s bad, but it’s the truth.🫣

@@StylishandGrateful I know it is difficult but I am now 74. I know the pic says differently but I have tried to get that pic off but I cannot get into the email that it is posted from. 🥹
I have grey hair now🤩. Anyway as I was saying yes it is a habit that CAN be developed. Start small. Lift 5 lb weights at first while watching TV or a podcast 😃. Just do that and see the improvement Then maybe you will want to do something different. Dr Berg has a video about flabby arms. He says it has nothing to do with diet but actually lack of movement🥴Within that video he has a link to some simple arm exercises that you can do sitting down and it takes 15 min. Good luck my dear and good health. You can do it!!

❤❤ this video, Liz! Oh my! Hats off to you for being able to really pull back on the sugar! 🙌 That's not an easy feat. How long did it take you to get accustomed to sleeping on your back? That's definitely something that I'd like to incorporate. Tfs 🌿🌷🌿

Thank you…but if you ask my daughter she thinks I eat WAY too much sugar. It’s all about just cutting back a little and in those sneaky places that don’t matter.
It’s been awhile now…I think, I’d say 2-4 weeks. Make a pillow cocoon around you and that helps keep you in place.
Now I prefer it, which is crazy since I hated it at first. I just use the wedge pillow and keep another near by for leaning on or under my feet sometimes…whatever is needed. 💕🌸

It needs to be sugar free of course. I chew gum daily for almost the last 10 years.

Chewing gum actually makes you hungry. The release of saliva causes a release of hormones that trigger hunger.

Great video. Already follow most of your suggestions but will try the gum chewing. Once I retired my weght was no longer an issue. I am in the habit of walking a good amount each day and that has kept a good weight very consistent. Still struggle with carb intake. Maybe the gum will help with that. Thanks for the video.

Love the tips though! Lord knows I need to make a change BIG time!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Dr. Fung is great!🌻 I think the no chewing gum is super old and incorrect advice. We have to use all our parts, ancestors chewed on gristle and tough animal parts. Our food is too soft and easy these days. The young people chew on dog toys to strengthen their jaw, which is crazy and far too over the line…but that’s currently happening with mewing 🙃
You are the sweetest! Thank you kindly. 💕 I’d just say don’t stress. Implement one new thing a month and in a year you’ll get there. 😊 Ben Azadi on RUclips is great too if you’re thinking of keto, he lost 80lbs I believe.
