Welcome to the Liliac “rabbit hole”…they have a lot of amazing covers and originals. Yes, they are a family; Samuel Cristea (born March 21, 1999) - lead guitar, backing vocals, violin Abigail Cristea (born February 24, 2000) - drums, accordion Melody Cristea (born December 27, 2001) - vocals, originally on bass, flute Ethan Cristea (born August 24, 2006) - bass, additional rhythm guitar Justin Cristea (born October 27, 2007) - keyboard Justin, the youngest was only eleven when they started playing weekends on the Santa Monica pier. When all five kids showed so much musical promise, their parents enrolled them in music school and they started home schooling for their academic education. They all graduated from high school when they were sixteen, I think Justin was seventeen. Justin mentioned in an interview once that they practice about five hours a day. Melody is a huge fan of Ronnie James Dio and that’s reflected in their covers of Rainbow in the Dark, Holy Diver, Last Line and Heaven and Hell. Among their fans from the beginning are Wendy Dio, RJD’s widow, Vinnie Appice (Black Sabbath), Rob Halford (Judas Priest) and Stewart Copeland (the Police). Wendy requested they do the cover of Last In Line for a cancer tribute concert after RJD passed away. You’ll notice in some more recent videos occasionally a young man is playing drums, Abigail got married in August of 2023 and she and her husband are expecting their first baby in late February or early March this year so she’s on maternity leave. She also took time off for her wedding and was getting settled into her new home in 2023 and early 2024. Other covers I think you’d enjoy are I Hate Myself For Loving You, any of the Dio songs, The Trooper is definitely a must watch, plus Master of Puppets, watch the live version featuring Aiden Fisher which I think is best, Symphony of Destruction and Seven Nation Army. Somewhat chronically some their originals are; Chain of Thorns, Nothing, Vertigo, Dear Father, We Are the Children, Sail Away, Mars (live in Cummings, Ga), Not Afraid (Live extended version), Carousel, Madness, Somber Cry, Rise Up, Breathe and Delusion. You mentioned hair, you’ll notice around the time they recorded Not Afraid and Seven Nation Army that Sam and Melody suddenly have short hair, that’s because they had it cut off and donated to an organization that makes wigs for children who’ve lost theirs to cancer treatments and other illnesses. Melody’s had been slowly growing back. Their parents were born in Romania, their dad not far from Count Vlad’s (Dracula) castle in the Transylvania region. They met when both families immigrated to the Los Angeles area, married and started this very talented family. You’ll notice in early videos coffin shaped guitar cases and their fan base is referred to as “fangs”.
Also the name Liliac means bat in Romanian and they started playing instruments in 2015, Are you sure about their birthdates i thought Abby, Melody and Eathen were two years apart each.
Great reaction they never did another version of this song but they have a live version of Master of Puppets live at Mad life with Aiden Fisher Every thing they do originals and tributes are phenomenal.
Liliac energy on stage is phenomenal, melody has the most unique voice in metal today, check out not afraid extended version or their latest breathe ♥️
Thanks for the reaction. All brothers and sisters. Abby the Drummer was married recently and is expecting a baby this spring and works teaching, so they have another drummer with them at times. Paul. Recommended covers: Seven Nation Army & Heaven and Hell. both "newer" Recommended Originals: Mars live in Cumming, GA (their ages at the time of this performance are listed below the video), Carousel, Madness, Breathe, or Anxiety Kills the Beautiful live at Rock Fest 2024.
Hello my new young friend. I've been debating whether to check you out since in my cue. I have a love/Hate relationship with reactors. I do not listen to the band that shall not be named because of their lable. That being said, this is very early Liliac. I believe that MeloDia is 16. Sam 19. Abigail 18. Justin i think 12 and Justin around 10. They changed a few things when they play at concerts today. I saw and met them in Spokane last August. Papa said, when they were learning at Downey Music Studio in California that they were learning the classics just like I did in the 70s playing Hyden , Hummel, Hindemith etc. They performed on the Santa Monica pier for over 5 years very early on. The 2 youngest was single digits. Nice reaction. Peace. Stay safe. God Speed. FANG 4 LIFE! RORH 🍻❤️🤘🦇
I hope you delve deeper into this band! You most certainly won't be disappointed! You'll become a fan as many of us have! They have great covers and lots of original music which is also very good! I could give you suggestions all day long but you'll get there at your own pace! Thanks for the reactions, I'll sub your channel 👍!
They are very young here. They've matured a lot and they have a pretty huge catalog of both covers and originals. As Liliac, they began with mostly metal covers but with a lot of variety (the oldest three actually started as The Cristeas and did more pop and current top forty). When I say variety, I mean everything from Crazy Train and Holy Diver to Piece of My Heart and Wild Thing, and a ton more. They're pretty eclectic on their originals, too. A good start would be to do a couple songs from the same concert in Cumming, GA. They did their original, Mars, with a killer guitar solo that's not to be missed, and they also did a cover of Piece of My Heart that I like better than Joplin's.

I think during this performance the ages ranged from 12- 20.
Check out the Dio covers they did
Check out a cover by Liliac. Joan Jett. I hate myself for loving you
I grew up listening to this music, the fact that “The Warning” and “Liliac” are bringing this back is incredible because today music is not as good.
Another new band I like is Freeze The Fall. You should check them out. I have reactions to two of their songs.
Check out Master of Puppets
try "sail-away". Original composition
Rammstein: Paris - Du Hast
