As I have just released the 5 parts of my new album, I'd like to share with you some inspiration behind each part. I'd like to start with A SEASON OF BLOOM because, if I recall it correctly, I think it's one of the first I've started to work on, at the end of last year. I really wanted to work on some "light" acoustic guitar melodies to express the vibe and feelings of this Season of Bloom and eternal spring... the emerald forest... a vibe of idyllic guitar softly played around a campfire at night... That's why Zelda Ocarina of Time instantanly came to my mind: as I've stated in a recent interview for the Dungeon Synth blog, I've never played it but have always been in love with this melancholic soundtrack for years ( dungeonsynth.blogspot.com/2022/02/a-conversation-with-erang.html ) Speaking of acoustic guitar and games I've never played: I've also always been mesmerized by the aesthetic of the game DWARF FORTRESS. And I loved the lofi flamenco guitar tune at the beginning... It is really a powerful tune with some timeless dark vibes, hard to explain. Like an old stone from a thousand of centuries ago... That flamenco tune reminded me that my father is a huge fan of the Gipsy Kings. He always used to blast it in the house at full volume... far from Dungeon Synth but definitely linked to my childhood. So that's some inspiration behind this Season of Bloom but there are many others! Hope you'll enjoy this soft journey through the fresh nights of an eternal spring!
Your albums are the best background music to play D&D... not if you've played the game "Delver" but its soundtrack matches the dungeon vibe I feel of this album congratulations on the great job
So glad I found your channel. There’s been plenty of this kind of music uploaded lately, especially bc of the rise in popularity of dnd and other table top role playing games. Your music however, has an aura of authenticity to it that other music lacks.
Thanks, that means a lot. What I make always come from some very personal places within my heart... there is no plan, I just make the music & art that I feel, hoping it will resonate with others.
2nd song reminds me so much playing JRPGs like Golden Sun 1 and 2. Especially when the latter has a very special track in a town called Garoh and knowing the backstory of the town makes the music itself even more melancholic and depressing yet soothing.
This flamenco guitar is also near the one used in gerudo valley in Ocarina of Time. Very good tone for sure and very interesting album. I like the concept. For now and for what it worth, I think "A Season of Bloom" is my favorite among the five but they all have their own magic ;)
