    Was wondering if you even made some Striper trolling rigs. If yes what do you recommend on the measurements.. thanks.

    • @proambass8027
      @proambass8027  Год назад +1

      People I've sold my rigs to have caught up to 24lb stripers on them. The stainless steel I use (0.035") and that holds up on the 24lb'er's but they have a tendency to get thrashed due to the size of fish, they don't break but they get twisted up and ruined. I'd recommend going to a thicker wire, I make my normal ones out of 0.035" diameter wire and I'd probably go with at least a 0.040" diameter or thicker wire for striper and bigger head swivels (Size 4 or bigger) and bigger bait snap swivels (Size 3) or split rings (Size 4 or bigger). Whatever one you like to use snap swivels or split rings. People have caught 10lb largemouth on my rigs and they didn't get ruined with the 0.035" size of wire but they did on the stripers like 15lbs or bigger, depends on how the fish/person fight too.

    Thanks for the updated Video, Waiting for my parts to get started. Do they make a thicker walled shrink tubing?

    • @proambass8027

      Oh I'm sure they do, the tubing I use is just basic shrink tubing but I've never had an issue with it so I continue to use it. Thanks for the view and comment, let me know how yours turn out! Good luck man.

    What diameter wire are you using? What is too small / too big?

    • @proambass8027
      @proambass8027  8 месяцев назад

      I use 0.035mm which is perfect for almost every situation. That diameter lets the rig “flex” when you pull the rod to make it look like your baits are darting around like a real school of baitfish. People have caught 20lb+ striper on the rigs without breaking so they’ll hold up. You can go up to 0.040” but I don’t recommend any thicker than that. I modeled my rigs after what Tactical Bassin’s Matt Allen prefers.

    Awesome video! Where in the heck to you get those crimps and beads?

    • @proambass8027
      @proambass8027  Год назад +1

      Thanks brother, I get the crimps off Amazon and the beads in this video I got from Hobby Lobby but get them from a company called Worth. www.worthco.com it's like 1000 beads for 10$ or less. Their beads are for lures and are metal and perfectly shaped, the glass ones in this video all vary a little bit in size. Just a piece of advice, when ordering crimps some manufacturers size them in ID and some in OD. ID= inner diameter and OD=outer diameter. I can't tell you how many times I've ordered the wrong size crimps. Good luck man.

    Do ever make those with lead heads?

    • @proambass8027
      @proambass8027  11 месяцев назад +1

      I bought all the equipment to pour lead, the mold to make the lead heads and I burned myself 3 times. I may be dumb enough to burn myself 3 times but I know when to quit and brother, after the 3rd time I gave all my lead melting equipment away. Not taking any more chances with 800+ degree molten lead. Many bass over 8lbs have been caught on them without the lead heads so I gave up on lead. However, I do have a guy who I helped make epoxy heads and they look great. I asked for help making them on the parts I dont know how to do and got ghosted. So I’ll figure that out eventually lol.

      Hey man thanks for watching the video, Just click on my User icon and find the InstaGram link and hit me up on InstaGram. Send me a message there so I can get your info and what you're looking for. I've never made a 9 wire, not saying that I can't but I'd need to see a pic of one to say for sure if I can make one or not so if you have a link to what you're looking for that would definitely help. Reach out to me on IG so we can keep your details private. Thanks again.

    I would like to make a 6 wire A rig. How would I add that extra wire?

    • @proambass8027
      @proambass8027  Год назад

      Hey man, with the rig I make here there’s not really a good way to add just 1 more wire. You can have a 3 wire, 5 wire, 7 wire pretty easily though. I mean, I guess you can make a 7 wire and just cut off an arm after you solder it for 6 wires hahaha. If you want 7 wire just add 1 more wire for the arms.

    How much do you charge for your A-rigs. Thanks

    • @proambass8027
      @proambass8027  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the view, the prices go up and down with the price of the parts that I can get. Right now they're 14$ each and I'll give free shipping if you order 3 or more which is 5$. I will never compromise the head swivel or the bait swivels/split rings, They're always Owner Hyperwire parts but I do constantly order new parts like the Center Springs for the dummy baits, Beads, Blade barrel swivels and crimps to find better deals to get the prices lower. All the little pieces have gone up so much in price over the past year, some have doubled in the last 12 months. I feel bad for charging as much as I do but I have to or I lose $$$. And it's 14$ for the standard A-rig that I make which includes chrome or gold blades, white or chartreuse blades are 2$ more per rig and if you want the Black Nickel Blades then it goes up by 5$ per rig because those suckers cost me almost 1$ per blade.

      Sorry for the delay man, I had to go to the website and find the blades I ordered. I order them 2000 at a time so I don't have to go there often. I'll include the link, I get the Size 3 blades, Part# 94823. They have tons of different sizes, colors, finish's etc...This is a good site to get parts from, good quality too. Their sizes are towards the bottom of the page in the bigger chart.

      @@SparksFlyin I think it's more so about personal preference with the blade size but I've been using that size since the beginning and everyone seems happy with that size, plus I think they match the hatch in regards to size pretty closely. You don't have to order by the thousand either. I think there is a minimum like 250 but that's only like 7$ or something. So maybe try a couple sizes and find the ones you like.
