I'd say striking isn't as much of an issue as most people below commenting would believe. What is more difficult is the sparing as you can see at the 1 min mark, since this style uses deflection, it should be difficult to clear spares with multiple grouped pins.
The rotational force of the ball 'spinning' horizontally to the pins is one of the main reasons why the ball quickly bounces off to the side of all the pins. You need forward rotation (as pros use) to drive through the pins, that's power and makes the pins react the most.
Pros and cons: Hook style does have better striking chance but you must suit your ball, ball speed, line depending on the lane conditions (if you are advanced bowler) Spinner has a bit less striking chance but what's nice about this style is they don't give a shit about what is the oil pattern in every lanes they play. They just play the same line and same approach every time because their balls doesn't react on oil patterns as their spin takes away huge amounts of friction on the lanes.
czona300 Deflection is the point of their technique. the ball is supposed to deflect and hit the 1-3-6 and 10 pin causing them to fall in a domino effect. Not the most effective technique yea, but in China where the technique is popular, there is absurd amount of oil on the lanes making it way too difficult to hook the ball.
@@AussiePillow1 that's why bowling ball companies create heavy rolling and huge hooking bowling balls so you can play on heavy oil. @tree man yeah, at my college practice last week, our coach actually laid down the badger for us to bowl on and my God was it slick. Probably not if you know what you are doing. The ball has hook and power that let's it drive through the pins this bounces off. And I don't know this for sure but it looks like it also relies more on pin action as well
I'm watching this and just keep thinking over and over again "Why?" I mean, it doesn't really do anything to transfer any extra energy at all to the pins with a solid pocket hit. If anything it seems to reduce not only the pin action, but the accuracy of the shot since any motion gained with this style just helps it rebound towards the 10. My point is when you throw a ball that should strike and get a tap - then you watch your opponent throw one straight on the head pin and leave all 10 in the pit. She can be a cruel mistress at times LOL.
@@aeromedical6750 it all depends on the ball you throw. If you put a high drive ball into the 3-6 at 45mph, you'll probably put 5 in the pit and the rest somewhere into outer space
Anyone who knows anything about pin reaction knows that this is not the way to bowl
Kyle Theune so are you saying that straight shooters arent bowling right? because it looks like this is a technique of straight shooting lol
lmao ok kyle hope you’ve got the titles to back up your claims. these guys do
Well partially correct. Not really the way but for professional bowlers, hook is the way to go... Also it doesn't knock down pins as well as the hook does.
NO LOGIC.THE UFO BOWLING ALSO DEPEND ON THE SPINING SPEED AND TIMING.
Spinning it like that is gonna give you almost no drive through the pins, if you actually hook the ball properly you'll get that drive, and get marks more often, instead of leaving frames open
The truth is this is not the right way for bowling, your thumb might be injured..
T h e H u m a n It might get injured if you use a 15pounds ball.but they only take 12 pounds
Funny technique
Spinner don’t hook. It only goes straight. Spinner tend to have splits more often
Dash Peanut
i literally see the man throw the ball at the foul line at 1:36 bruh
