Imagine watching your husband work 12 hour days while you don't work and blame him for not taking care of you.
That’s like a sixteen hour work day. Not including the time before he actually gets to the restaurant 😢
Sounds like the average woman in the US these days.
I disagree on that. Many women work in US. The ones that are SAHW don't act like her. I think I know 5 housewives and the rest work.
She came from Mexico hoping for a wealthy comfy life. When times were hard she left back to Mexico and left him with all the debt.

Can we all just appreciate how one man kept that ship afloat... AND THERE WAS NO NASTY WALKIN FRIDGE OR GREASY DIRT ALL OVER!?! -He singlehandedly did better than most other restaurants on this show...
It was refreshing seeing him clean. 1st Chef on the show (or any of the other reality tv "kitchen" show with Gordon)
kinda true but in fact he never checked right? he wasnt "me checking kitchen" and saying oh cool theres nothing wrong here everything is clean i like that he just pointed out that stove is old. also there was one episode with segregation and labeling he was shocked how well its organised but still rated food as awful same like here. so ofc he deserves credits but he didnt make miracle he wasnt so amazing as you sugesting just normal hard working guy. its insane that others had so neglected kitchen
@@meanral keeping a ship afloat doesn't equal having the most successfull ship ever seen... Just means nobody drowned... So I don't think I gace him too much credit as is... 🤗
I like how when this was filmed the prices on the menu were considered ridiculous and 'not cheap' as gordon said and the past couple years now those are like Taco Bell prices with a discount.

This restaurant wasn’t a nightmare. Definitely a “wife” nightmare.

I suspect she may have reverted to her old ways after Gordon left (remember he had to step in and give her a talking to even during thr relaunch). They subsequently divorced and in 2019, six years after the restaurant closed, he got engaged to Maria, the server who took Ramsey's order when he arrived. The business falied for the same reason that many others in Kitchen Nightmares did: the accumulated debt was simply too big for it to survive.
Maybe because, as it turns out, hubby was banging the waitress the whole time and ended up marrying her
@@maunsell24 Him trading in the old bag for a younger model makes this episode a happy ending.
That montage of all the things Greg does is just insane.

@karlwithak.Your respect was never needed in the first place. Just because you can’t see the hard-working person Greg is when surrounded by mediocrity says enough about you as a whole. You can keep the pessimistic perspective to yourself. Stay bitter
@karlwithak. You can only see from your narrow perspective. No point in arguing with someone who doesn’t listen to understand but listen to respond
@karlwithak. it's a ladder of respect. Gordon's top for me, then Greg because he's trying. Sometimes that's all a person can do in a situation that's put upon them.
A huge oversight here, Gordon had no fridge or freezer issues here! Massive respect to Greg for a clean and safe kitchen.
Even the ingredienc were good enough for Ramsay to NOT rant about them.
He said nothing bad about the décor (I count authentic as a compliment and "It´s gorgeous" is a high praise in my books).
So yes Greg did a great job.

(While if it would work for this family or not…that’s another thing entirely😅)

Some families are able to deal with them by themselves meanwhile others fall apart mostly due to the lack of communication.
@@George-qm6wi someone applaud for this guy
Marco pierre white would disagree, Gordon's been really awful to him
apparently Greg divorced Mary, and married Maria. That's wild.
Good for him man, Mary was evil.. and lazy
WHAT
King
Another upgrade to the menu.
Good for him
Mary is a nightmare.
"Chef Ramsay no feel happy" is the perfect description of every single time Gordon tastes any food in the beginning of the episodes 😂
The restaurant closed in 2013 and did not reopen after the holiday season.
After Zocalo closed, Greg and Mary divorced and he married Maria, a waitress featured in the episode.
Greg is currently Manager at The Walrus Oyster and Ale House.
I liked Greg, seemed a good man. I hope he's happy in life
he dropped Mary for Maria lmao same name different language
Waw, in the back of my mind I was thinking that they'll divorce after failing the business but I'm sorry, I feel it is good news, also Greg marries a supportive wife is even a better news, I hope God rewards him after these years of struggle and suffering this frustration and daily torture.
The restaurant closed because all the staff tested positive for Covid-19.
@@Mogamishu In 2013? How exactly does that add up?
"I don't know if it's my fault, but it's my responsibility".
That's a man right there.❤
Greg is a real one, I can't help but hope for his success.
Mary: "I will continue the business"
Also Mary, 2 minutes later: "I don't want to do something I don't want to do"
I wanna talk about business not just sign life away it big deal
Her daughter knew what the realoty was so immedietely replied 'you wont be able to'
"I don't like working"
Well guys I think I found the solution to this little problem!
They've got grown kids, if I were this poor bastard, I'd be outta there real quick.
They see Greg as their personal work horse.
The scene where the wife is trying to tell Gordon the cheese and his utter confusion is one of the best parts
It was hilarious 😂😂😂
Totally
Totally the wrong cheese for rellenos, too. Queso de freír is literally cheese for frying. 🫣 Perhaps if wifey offered to do the shopping for their authentic Mexican restaurant, things like this wouldn't happen!
Right!❤@@jenn_x.
say what you want about gordon.. the theatrics.. the swearing. the dude has passion and a heart of gold.. love that guy

@@solongsuicide9 Wow, you're so smart Josh, will you please do me the honour of marrying my daughter? She's been looking for someone smart enough to correct someone's grammar in a comment section.
Watch the uk version, much less swearing and drama. 👍
Most importantly Gordon has a sense of justice when it comes to serving food 🥘. If only every chef in the world was like Gordon we wouldn’t suffer food poisoning and die with bacteria and viruses in our guts.
@@ahmedmohammad6099 ok Mohammad.. wtf xD
11:40 best line
13:31 this part gets me 🤣🤣🤣
She has attitude, alright. She barely lifts a finger, admits she doesn't want to work at all, creates constant tension whenever she is present (as rare as that might be) and then to top it all tells her husband, who is crying on the inside for help and doing basically all the work, she will leave him if he doesn't step up. Incredible...
Also nothing better someone with a strong accent shouting customers' orders at you. I'll be like "What was that?" all the time. LOL
on the other hand, if he divorces her it should be pretty easy to find someone better lmao
@@therottweiler9238 He did, waiter Maria I think, after the closure of the restaurant.
@@mark030a i realy hope so
@@mark030a and Maria is a beauty!
Just like Manuel from the British sitcom fawlty towers lol
This is a rare episode where the chef is not delusional or doesn't care. He worked 14-15 hrs a day while he carried the entire weight of the business and family on his shoulders. He needed the support of his wife more than anything, but instead he got abuse. Like chef Ramsay I was really rooting for his success. I am sorry the restaurant failed, but glad he is out that toxic marriage.
That's both bad and good to hear, I hope he's living a happier life now!
He worked 20 hours a day basically. He would get up at 5:30am and wouldn't go to bed till probably 12:30-1am. Man literally was on 4-5 hours of sleep every single day non stop for years. That's INSANE. The potential that this man has is absolutely incredible, far superseding that of every single other chef that has ever been on this show. He might be one of those rare people who can survive on a few hours of sleep a night. Things like that show that there is a purpose for everything, if God didn't influence that mutation in this man, the restaurant would've fallen under far before it ever did, we would've never heard of it.
I hope he still has access to his kids
@@johnnytower6169they seem to be adults so it would be their choice

“You better let me finish tonight.”

Gordon: are you willing to help?
Mary: I cant
Gordon: why?
Mary: I dont wanna
Greg is probably one of the nicest, respectful, and most passionate owners featured in kitchen nightmares. I spent my whole night crying when Greg cried because his wife was asked if she still love him. That tear was so sad 😢
@yours_truly_anne - Hi from the UK, I agree Gregg is a great guy but am worried if his wife went back to 😳🤐after Gordon went . I don't suppose you have any idea do you? Kind regards from the UK. ♥️🇬🇧♥️
I don't believe she does love him. I think she was trying to tell herself/Gordon that she did. Love is not just the feeling of affection towards someone. Love encompasses every part of human life, it is a feeling, a dream, a belief, a perspective, and a mode of action.
She consistently prioritized herself over him in every way, she was selfish, she viewed him as the reason for her problems, she didn't respect him, her dream was not to work alongside him, it was to profit from him. Even at the end, she worked for a couple days cause she was on a tv show and all motivated but I guarantee not long after when the reality kicked in that she had to get up early and go to work when she didn't feel like it, she either started staying home, or being miserable at work and making sure everyone else knew it.
@@carolehankinson4969 I heard that they are divorced now and he married one of the servers and works in a different restaurant. Man ended up leaving her, getting a younger wife, and then being successful somewhere else 😂
I'm sure she saw how much of an absolute gigachad Greg was. That man literally got 4-5 hours of sleep every single night while working 18-20 hour days NON STOP for YEARS without showing significant signs of cognitive or emotional collapse. Yes he definitely suffered but not to the degree that almost every other human would under those conditions. There is almost no one on this earth who can actually handle that intense schedule and pressure without just being destroyed. Man is a total G for that, and I'm glad he's successful outside of there.
@@HelloThere..... Thank you, that's really kind of you to reply. It really bothered me as we women know what a good man is, or should I say most of us. So happy he got away from her as he tirelessly worked his butt off and she did nothing but be groomed when money was obviously tight and walk around bitching & squawking at him, I mean how much more could he do, ungrateful wench.
When Gordon asked her if she still loved him her answer took too long, you don't need to think too long about that and I thought it was for the cameras. I wish him every happiness. Thank you again, I really appreciate your replying to me. Kind Regards from the UK. ♥️ 🇬🇧 ♥️
Did Gordon have her eat out of his fork. This knucklehead not hear of covid

That woman is still a child, for real.. From laughing when her husband says he works from 5am to 11pm every single day, lie about prices, emotional bribery, and the list goes on....
