When I was a kid I never got past the Lee Hong assassination mission. Its just way too hard for me at that moment. Complex map lol I always ended up killing everyone
At some points I always blew my cover if I had one. In the dark of my memories, I remember getting the red dragon disguise in the sewers(?), going to free the Agent, then help the female agent escape, and somehow either shot up that fatass bodyguard, and Lee Hong ended up fleeing and retreating to his hideout. There we either repeatedly stabbed each other, or I ended up AK47 (LOL) -ing him. I remember having "bad scores" in the second mission, because that fucking chopper always gave me trouble. I played the game like 20 times but only after a lot of playing I realized that your "scores" somehow affect how much money you have or something. So I suddenly was able to buy the M60 in that jungle mission. Wtf man that game. I need to play it again.
Yeah I completed it yesterday night lol. Took me 10 tries to get through lee hong's assassination, just poison the food to get rid of the fat bodyguard and use your silenced pistol to kill Lee hong in his office lol. Remember to use Red Dragon member disguise to enter his HQ or you have to shoot you way out. The rest of missions are easier but for me "say hello to my little friend" is glitches as the game would crash if you detonate the charge near the laboratory. The mission where you need to kill Boris and disarm the nuke is also a pain in the a** lol
Oscar Ray Just out of interest, which version are you playing? Does the original Codename 47 run on Win 7 or even 10? I still got the disk laying here I bought back in the day, yeaaaars back. If it runs perfectly, I might install it and play it soon lol. I know bloodmoney runs for me on Win7 AND 10 without issues. Edit: I just noticed it's also on GOG and states all windows version run it, nice. Might buy and download GOG version, no need to use CD one haha :P
Sry for the late reply. Got caught up in the college project. I am playing the steam version on my win10 and it runs pretty good even though 1 out of 10 the game would randomly crash but nothing serious. Btw I had some problems with the mouse sensitivity the first time i started the game and I had to google the solution lol. Hope you had fun playing this game haha :)
Old comment but in SA especially I swore the game was broken because my disguise was blow every damn time. I just ran through every game guns blazing the moment the covers blew. Haha.
lol everything's a speedrun until blood money hits, that's when all the accidents come in and they take about as long as if you did them normally lol Edit: Bruh that chat about the mass suicides is actually hilarious
Slut Puppies I hated the first Hitman, thought 2 was a little better thought Contracts was alright (on the right track) and loved Blood Money. I hated Absolution as much as the first game. Linear shooter shit with a crappy story and poor stealth. The remake of the first looks promising but it's weird sales model has prevented me from trying it.
GuyOnAChair dont let it stop you, seriously.. I was sceptical but it turned out to be incredible. It's the first game i enjoy going back to for replaying levels or new targets on the community board. Truthfully the story is okay but with only 6 levels out so far its nothing immensely amazing. It's the actual game that just keeps pulling me back in for another level. Mind you i bought a cd key so got the full game/pass thing for a little cheaper than usual and on PC.
GuyOnAChair haha yeah the newest one also depending on how you play you can spend 10 mins to 45 minutes on each level. and they've confirmed theres another season coming so i think that means atleast 6 more levels coming
Kotti you are awesome! Watched you vids and started speedrunning for blood money. Thanks for the tips and p.s. My person best run for blood money is 58:12 LOL including 6 silent assassins
Amazing work, i just came across this video last night and i must say i am very impressed! You should make another run at this now in 2018 and see if you can beat it! Anyway, wonderful work man!
15:00 I absolutely love this part with a new scenery, with the greatest music of Jesper Kyd ( it's just my opinion ) and I love the new target ,a fucking jaguar ! And the last target,a mad who takes cocaine inspired by tony montana ( scarface ).For more it's big maps and a good ambience with adventure !
Fun Fact: If you wait a couple of minutes after the second target mysteriously dies in the third mission, the game will tell you that he actually got away and that you've failed the mission. Happened to me the other day.
38:18 I remember this level, "plutonium runs loose" being the absolute hardest of the first game. Probably had to replay this level from the start more than 50 times before making it. The damn dogs coming from nowhere, not knowing where to go and the enemies on the ship at the end. Phew!
I know Kotti isn't a fan of any of the Splinter Cell games, might just be his tastes rubbing off on his community, or similar minds meeting. I don't remember the specifics of Kotti's criticisms, but Kotti's casual game list has his opinions on alot of games, including Splinter Cell. I agree though, they're solid games, chat's just being chat ig.
Ajattelinki sun puheesta et oot suomalainen sillon ku katoin sun live blood money speedrunia, kivaa et missään päin maailmaa on ihmisii jotka tekee tälläsii videoit! :)
hey cool i recently went back play all hitman games with Xbox one controller (pinnacle setup) and loved every second of it...i started my hitman years back with absolution, loved it, and then ofcourse the latest one...so i went back and played it in chronilogical order especially blood money was just wow way ahead of its time... think its my favourite...glad i played all of them...tho' the first was frustrating to play...
Yeah, there is that 5min timer so it doesn't really matter, but it's funny when Ivan enters the warehouse and the 47 just casually stands there with bunch of bodies lol
Just started watching thje Absolution part. The gameplay just seems horrible. I mean. Like a very bad action movie. How do the cops watch 47 climb the ladder, and send someone on the roof, and immediately there is a cop around the first corner on the roof. It makes no sense. Realistically, the cops would do a damn and first get the fire brigade to extinguish the fire. No cop in a right mind would barge onto the rooftop just to find someone. Let alone, the cops would have to go past burning stuff, break open doors, etc. In a real life scenario, 47 would have had several minutes if not hours to escape. The cops least concern would be that 47 is suicidically pushing onto the roof top. They would literally care more about the dozens of other people in the building, than a lone person. They would take his death into account, and disregard him as "not wanting to be saved now" and would start searching for other people. if they did. The cops wouldn't though. As the fire is raging, chances are way too high that they lose each other in the smoke, or die due to collapsing stuff or explosions. It would be suicidal to look for 47 to interrogate him. I hate games or missions that are staged and plot-deviced like that. It is un fucking believably BAD story writing and game design that in the next section after the fire, the whole place is crawling with all the police forces of the whole precinct, only thing missing is the national guard to complete the scene. Jesus fucking christ, like, a moron did the design of that section. I mean, first they have no clue about 47 even being in the building. Then they see him running from the flames. Rather than calming him down, they start swearing like idiots about how he's escaping, and the next section, they are searching for him like they know. They instantly have like the 6th sense and KNOW that 47 must be found. They don't even need to look for him, they are immediately locking the right place down, searching in the right spots. No errors made, they immediately have him pinned down. Instead of tending to the fire and finding survivors and securing the area, they all fuck off and search for one single person. And don't play this shit off as "they are instructed by the agency, they know where too look", 47 is way ahead of everybody in terms of planning. You could only intercept him, if you could read his mind, or you had infinite ressources available, like thousands of policemen to lock every street, roof, sewer section, building, cellar, EVERYTHING off tighter than whatever. God damn this game design. Just look where the cops all are! Even a block or two away, they are frantically searching for 47! They aren't locking off the streets so nobody gets into danger zone around the fire, they are in and ON every building and rooftop, searching for 47. And in the train station? Well look at the fucking SWAT unit! What in the actual fuck? Nobody knows whats going on, but they have the SWAT locking off the train station. It's like, they know 47 is a terrorist. Not even in real life is the response 1/10th this fast! They don't even know 47 is to blame, but instantly act like he was seen blowing everything to shits, like they KNOW it was not an ordinary fire. They instantly send the whole special forces, EVERYTHING just to get 47. Somebody please count the cops in that mission alone, there's more cops on this scene than any dispatch would have ever sent. Chicago has shy of 12k officers registered, and it feels that they are all in this single mission. They prolly even pulled those who were on leave or vacation or retired, they activated all elements available. Every Hitman game has made sense, but this new Hitman, just feels like it's pulling rules and reasons out of it's ass just to create artificial difficulty. No random patrols, squeaky floors, snipers in the hiding, just throw shitloads of enemies out there, and specify an assload of rules, detection, witness bullshit, crazy stuff. Instead of simply making new missions, they always go up and beyond themselves to create artificial difficulty by making uberhuman and blatantly unrealistic circumstances surrounding certain missions. I mean, I never really enjoyed that "overreaction", when you do a crime or get spotted, everybody is over you like flies on a turd, but these newer hitman games just take the cake and run for it.
OhStylo, your point is absolutely valid and i mostly agree with you. However, there are some points which i want to argue. For example, you mentioned the cops literally hunting 47 whereas they don't even know that it's him. I believe that they were crooked and worked more as a PMC hired by Dexter rather than a PD during that sequence. I might be wrong and even if i am not, this level doesn't make sense anyway in terms of Dexter's motivation. Why didn't he kill 47? Why did he kill a maid? Why did 47 get spotted? And so on. By the way, the disguise system sucks. As you know, enemies spot from very long distances and "recognize" that you are not the one you pretend to be. But it hasn't been developers' intention from the beginning of the development. If you watch the first gameplay ever shown (from the library section) you'll notice that it worked like, for instance, in Contracts, where enemies could see through your disguise when you are too close) with the only difference that you can press a magic button and get more stealthy. The must have changed it because of them being unable to balance it properly. Therefore, the game was a walk in the park. Not only did they change that mechanic but they also made leves more linear. You can easily see it at the end of the first gameplay demonstration where the stairs were not blocked. Nonetheless, the game is still better than what they were planning to develop at the beginning. 47 would have been either a bum or a character from a grindhouse-like movie if they had made the original concept come to life.
You really shouldn't have been complaining about the cops at that point, less than a minute prior, there's an ungarrotable macho man, an insane person who is so happy to have captured the hitman, who then kills a maid and frames it on 47, then sets the building on fire
Wow when Kotti said he doesn't have donation notifications because it detracts from the viewing experience...the man

I can only hope that you come back with another anthology run. We don't need it critically, but it would be awesome to see one with Hitman 3 added

6 hour speedrun? Kotti you are an awesome member of the Hitman community.

No need to write a fucking essay
The "A house of Cards" level can be quicker by placing a bomb just where the car stops when they enter the casino/hotel
That trick will lead to extra kills, found bodies and not get Silent Assassin rating. That is an any% trick. Not a pro/SA one.

Does nobody else really run this? Seriously?
That Death of a Showman was so painful to watch.
speedrun in 6 hours? that must be a diamond tier game
technically its a game series hitman1-4 and absolution
There are longer runs for only one game (Final Fantasy IX is 9 hours)
to think the speedrun would have been 5:30 hours or so, if it wasn't for that awkward first mission in blood money
and the snow mission in contracts..
45:20 OUAA fucking amazing i love you man
