Bird is the greatest player ever
Bird playing today wouldnt be fair lol, hed destroy everybody pretty much.
MJ knew how great Bird was. Jordan never beat Bird in the playoffs, being 0-6 and getting swept 2 years in a row. MJ is the goat, but Bird is top five for sure.
He missed those on purpose just so he can walk off like that. #LarryLegend
Larry Bird is the only Goat 💚
Larry Bird is one of only 2 players ever to shoot 50% from 2, 40% from 3, and 90% from the line TWICE in a season (Steve Nash did it 4 times) and Larry did it in an era that frowned on taking a lot of 3s or deep shots. Larry is arguably the greatest shooting front court player of all-time 💪
Absolutely true.
In my opinion, Steph Curry is the best shooter ever.
@@saulnores3477 Notice I said front court player
@@klicknkreate7077 Hi. I'm sorry but I'm not an English native speaker. So, I don't fully understand the meaning of front court player. Can you explain me, please?
@@saulnores3477 Front court players or positions refers to the center and forward positions. The front court itself refers to a team's offensive side of the court.
Larry is the greatest player ever.
Many peoppe can shoot but not many can average 29 on 50 40 90.
GREAT VIDEO SIR!
Starting Five for me:
Bird (Best BIG Small Forward of ALL TIME. Passing, Scoring, Jumper, WON First Three 3 Point Shooting Contest, MVP 3 Years in a Row, Makes others better)
MJ (It's Jordon)
Olajuwon (The Dream....FT % way higher than Shaqs 53%, more Blks and he avg 11.1 Rebounds per game. Fade/Jumper and could score on anyone inside)
Curry (So we would not have to guard him as he runs all over the place hitting crazy 3s. Best shooter ever, with Bird right be hind him)
KD (No real weakness in his game...he needs Curry to win NBA title)
Could not Double Team anyone, others would be Open for a Shot, slam dunk or 3 Pointer.
Curry/Bird/KD - 3 Pointers/Jumpers
MJ - Driving to the hoop for Dunks
Olajuwon - Playing D and Getting Offensive Rebounds and dunking the ball
It is amazing how so many Michael Jordan fans never realize that they have a reaceny bias or that they like players from the 1980's and 1990's then.
Curry and KD are weak choices but I can get behind the rest.
Olajuwin over Wilt? That's what comical!
If durant needed curry to win a ring, how was durant the finals mvp (both times, i believe...)?
All day every day..there has never been a big as good as the Dream..end of discussion @@randyroberts4239
Much later on Danny Ainge said he knew exactly what the score was and how many he had to make. He just missed a couple to keep it close and went in traumatic fashion. I believe that I think this man could’ve hit anywhere on the court at will
Easy to believe it was deliberate.
Reggie Miller tells a story about Bird hitting some huge number of 3's in a row WHEN HE WAS A COACH - and others have told similar stories about even later in his "executive" days.
This is the *1990* roster for the 3pt contest with the scores. Please note: LARRY BIRD HAS NO SCORE & IS LISTED AS INJURED!!! HE DID *NOT* PARTICIPATE! @Crazy Joe Davola can KISS IT 🍑
Players 1st Round-Semifinal-Final
Craig Hodges 16 15 16
Jim Les 15 20 15
Mitch Richmond 12 11
Drazen Petrovic 13 8
Dell Curry 11

Thx 👍
Thank you for posting the specifics. 👍
Me and my brother were screaming when bird stuck up his crooked finger and hit that last money ball shot
Dale Ellis lost when he opted to go first in that final round.
Exactly
Respect 💯🎯💯
Larry Bird is the Dale Earnhardt of basketball. I love Larry Bird. Everyone who actually was alive to see him play knows that Larry is not only a legend but also a complete savage. Possibly the best Celtic of all time and one of the greatest to ever play basketball. Overall, he's been than LeBron.
00:46 Bird made 23points just for MJ. = He told MJ i'm shooting 23 just for you and you need to sit down and enjoy this performance.
After, MJ told Bird i'm taking the Slam Dunk Contest. Bird asked MJ, "What about Nique (Dominique Wilkins), he's been pretty good this year?" -MJ said, "Don't worry about that, you just better sit down and enjoy this."
= To be the Man you had to beat the Man back then to get that respect. -No "free" trophies just for showing up.
Magic got word of what happened and told them both (and everyone else) West is winning this and I'm taking MVP. (All-Star game).
The best
One of the best NBA players of all time. End of story
Dale Ellis was pretty good from the three point line too.
Bird didn’t take his top off - 😂😂😂😂
Greatest player ever
Lots of goats, only one legend!
Bird won this 3 years in a Row , Jordan won slam dunk contest 2 times and Lebron...........
....
...crickets making that noise
None
That finger raised high while the money ball was literally still in the air is one of the most memorable visions of 80s basketball to me.
Gotta love Larry Legend. Imagine getting NBA players today to show up for a contest where the check is $12,500? Things have changed.
Yeah back when they played real basketball as hard as they could until they fell apart. People act like LJ is a freak of nature for playing so long at a high level. It's impressive but throw him back into the old rules and I guarantee you he'd be retired.
You can’t guard me son I’m everywherrr!
I suspect Bird made it go down to the final shot just to give the crowd a good show.
Bird missed all those shots on purpose and brought it down to the money ball just to make it exciting!
The bird!
That’s a bad bad man
Dale Ellis had a sweet jump shot...scored around 19000 20000 career points in the NBA.
All-Star weekend used to be so great
Still in his warm up jacket!
If the goat MJ says this about you-ain't no one better!
He's not the goat. You just believe he is then. And if you like you can go on my podcast and prove that you're right.
