    Hello! I'll be talking about this topic today in my Q&A series in the "fluff" section. I'm glad you put this explanation out as I think many beekeepers will appreciate knowing more about the product. I wish you all the best in beekeeping and thank you for providing useful beekeeping tools and products. :) Happy Friday!

    Started harvesting honey today, used Honey B Gone first time. It was awesome, saved so much time just getting frames instead of working on getting bees off of them and having airborne bees everywhere.

    Question, I had bees in my wall and got them out. They were in there only a week so I hope there's no honey or much of it. Thinking of next year after I seal the gaps up the bees can still sell the wax. So .....I'm long winded as well lol. If I spray the area come spring it will repel the bees from trying to get in?
    Thank you

    Are you making your fume board lid with Aluminum, Tin or Steel (probably not steel, that looked like aluminum). Have you tried different metals and if so, are some better at heating/fuming the fumigant than others? The prices and local sources for some of these things is getting ridiculous, and I was thinking of flattening out an aluminum disposable roasting pan to make a fume board with. Since it's not used for any other reasons, I don't see why the fume board has to be made very durable. But I would expect the thickness of the metal will affect it's performance because the evaporating liquid is cooling the metal down, so there needs to be some heat mass to keep the temperature high enough through the process. Thank you!

    So...is it poisonous if it gets on the honey?

    • @BlythewoodBeeCompany
      @BlythewoodBeeCompany  2 года назад

      No. It would just taste bad. You should not spray more than a few sprays on a fume board when using it.

    OK I understand honey bees are endangered and we need them. My new neighbor has put up several hives and is not in compliance with local laws. I can not mow my grass or open my daughter pool. The hives are 20 ft from her pool and 15 from my shed .I am highly highly allergic to bee stings particularly honeybees I've been through 7 EpiPen just this season. Will this keep them from my property or do I have to resort to bug zappers and chemical killing

      Sure you are man! Sure you are 'highly allergic' to bees.
      That's exactly what about 50% of the people tell me. They, 'just like you,' are 'highly allergic to bees.
      Research, on the other hand (the realistic hand) says less than 1% is GENUINELY allergic to bees.

      @thechariotcard 4 года назад

      Wow.you are a cretin. I come from a family w three who are allergic to bees. Do you know how many millions of people are in the u.s.? Now figure what your 1% turns out to be. If you've never had your throat close up, youvdan afford to he cavalier.

      @@thechariotcard Sure they are...Just like all those that tell me. Hang on, hang on...I'm getting a message, ---yes, _This Just In_ Your three who are 'allergic' to bees also go with gluten free diets, right? Right? Of course I'm right. To be more accurate, it's less than 1% & of those, just because they're highly allergic doesn't mean they'll die.
      Now, do something for me, go crawl back into your safe space with your bubble wrap suit on so you can feel safe.
      Oh, and, stupid, not everyone gets stung by bees, you moron.

      @@livinlarge602able, You must have SPECIAL bees. I've sold thousands of bottles, including gallons literally, worldwide through my store, Dadant, and other distributors. I've NEVER had anyone AT ALL give me feedback like this. If this was true, the product would fail and never sell.
