The Queen Anne style bedroom set I bought in 1998, came with a large armoire. You would have used that for a tube tv back in the day. I put shelves in it and now I store my perfume in there. It’s dark. But I also keep all the original boxes/packaging which keeps the fragrances in the dark. It’s very cool in my bedroom as well, so I’m hoping all these factors will give longer life to the perfumes. I have mostly niche fragrances because I like mysterious, unique and different. (10 designers, 51 niche. A total of 61, and yes, I’m done.) My collection has grown too large and I don’t want them to waste. I went a little crazy during the pandemic. Not out of boredom, but because c-19 hit me and my family so hard. Very hard. Now, my attitude is YOLO. Buy what you want/love and enjoy. Life is short and sometimes shit…and getting shittier every day. If you love perfume and it brings you a little happiness, don’t wait. Get it. There may not be a tomorrow.

The floral street you speak of is, I heard, a dupe for Mac yum yum but not sure how close. Also, the escada you mentioned is still being sold here in the US . I find a lot of ones that are discontinued get brought back out to be sold again during the changing of seasons like I'll see more aquatic ones when summer approaches. Unsure if they are really old or from original company or redone, though, but they are legit and not fakes

I open from the bottom when it looks obvious the cellophane will open more cleanly there and allow me to keep it on as further protection for the box. My taste seems to change constantly, so I often sell my perfumes, and I think the buyers like this because the packaging still looks practically new. Otherwise, it really isn't necessary unless one has mild OCD. 😅
I wish my collection was as impressive as yours, I love how you give all price points their due, don't get me wrong I live a niche fragrance and I have to save for them I do have more of the mid range but I have some really great affordable fragrances that are great for the office or throwing in my gym bag and some that really hold special memories for me. Deep night by ghost was bought for me by a friend many years ago as a Christmas present, my signature was pure poison at the time and she couldn't afford to spend that kind of cash so purchased deep night instead I love it, it reminds me of her and I always keep in in my collection.
