firstly, matts voice is killer. so intense and heavy! second, im glad he does most of the screaming now when they play live. corey is a good back up, but matts voice is triviums sound. I looked up the lyrics to this song and listened to this video while i read, cause trivium's lyrics are pretty hard to distinguish. these are the most brutal lyrics I know of, super dark and I love it!
I'll never understand the people calling them sellouts. They sound different sure but they've just found more different ways to display their talent. And for me they're some of metals best. How good are you if you only do 1 thing? True musicians show their range.
That scream!!!!! Literally Matt’s prime in his screaming. But now… better drummer, more on point, just a bettter sound. But Matt’s screams during this time was superb
This audio sounds amazing. Cellphones 11 years later can't capture this kinda quality. Either the mic was superb or your spot + the audio engineer was perfect.
matts screams/yells have really improved over the years. i went to a show recently, and definitely got more than i anticipated, because i had watched all their live stuff from a few years ago and it was so-so. Dirge Within, Darkest Hour, and Whitechapel were crazy good, but Trivium lit the place up! so epic. i would drive several hundred miles just to go to another one of their shows
This concert makes me proud to be a Trivium fan! Listen to the progress they've made; not to say that they weren't great to begin with. Matt's screams/growls are "jizz in pants" worthy and Nick's drumming is intense! \m/
They recorded every show on soundboard audio for everyone to download their show from the website. I was at this particular show in Dallas, and it has and always will remain the best Trivium show I've ever seen. Listen to how fucking heavy Matt sounds. If only he hadn't learned that after Shogun was already done. Think of how Shogun would have sounded with those vocals! Still their best album.
I love how they've remastered the solos from the album and added and end solo. They should re-release ember to inferno after their next album coming shortly
Nick really messed up the last breakdown, like come one it’s the best riff of the song and he can’t just do the basic rytthm, it was perfect the original way, Travis was really a genius
yep you have to have the redemption code though but if you didnt go to the concert and just want the cd its $10 i think... but its highly recommended the show was awesome
When I saw them in Rochester, two of the bands decided not to show up at all. Trivium ended up playing like six covers and did a lot of talking and fooling around and stuff. It's too bad most of it wasn't made available on their "official bootlegs" for legal reasons...
the last guitar solo is amazing
HOLY SHIT THIS IS WAY BETTER THAN THE ALBUM VERSION
Cos its faster?
@@ikmalaxl5286 no because matts grunge is stronger than ever here
@@ikmalaxl5286 yes
I never realized how awesome this song is. It's definitely in my top 5.
This is amazing song as it's pretty much summarizing the Josef Fritzl case yet this song is made 5 years earlier.
I still love Trivium but this just brings tears to my eyes when I watch them. The Shogun era was awesome although the song is from ember.
dw my friend I feel the same exact way, I love watching them from 2009-2013 live but I hate the fact they'll never be like that again
Levskishampion1914 this wasn't the shogun era
@@josephgonzales6027 it was 09
@@GarBlaineNavy Nope
Matt's improv solo is fucking perfect.
Trivium in their prime in my opinon.
Definitely! Matt Sound live now like shit against this one here!
god damn right
The best live version of this song I have heard

Dude, Matt's lows lows at 1:00 sound like Muhammed Suiçmez from Necrophagist.
Yes agree

I think this might be my favorite era for Matt’s screams. Just so brutal.
they have dramatically improved they're live performance, one of the very few bands that actually sounds like what they put on their cd's.
I'd love if they remastered this album. It's one of my favourite albums
wish they did while they still had this sound

I'm in the same situation and I'm always wondering why is that :S

lol, i know.
No they have a opinion.

Wrong. I'd go as far to say they sound BETTER live.
@ihatenatwolf agreed they have no idea what talent means lol
